What an amazing experience. Wonderful and friendly staff. Very knowledgeable about the animals in their care. Welcoming to anyone bringing animals in from what I witnessed. Adoption process was easy and thorough. And the dog I got is absolutely fantastic and already semi trained, knew how to sit for his dinner, he’s only four months old. I highly recommend this animal shelter to anyone looking to adopt a great animal from a wonderful staff. Although I’m a resident of Baytown, I will be coming back to Pasadena when it’s time for another pet/family member.

We adopted our English bulldog from here in 2008 and had a great experience. He passed away at age 15. We just adopted our new husky and found the staff to be very kind and supportive. They truly care about the animals and the adoptive families. The new facility is bigger and nice.

TOTAL NEGLIENCE, I went on THURSDAY to adopt a kitten that I liked and made me feel enthusiastic, so I was small I wasn't allowed to take her that same day. They told me; come early Wednesday and take it away and when I go TODAY the kitten was no longer there. Fill in my data and everything and these people weren't able to give me priority to let me adopt my pet. That's order of arrival, and I was the THURSDAY. TERRIBLE play with the feelings and illusion of the one who wants to adopt and clicks with a pet .

I have mixed feelings about this place. We stopped because my son wanted to see the dogs. And although the staff was very friendly, the building smelled horrible. I had to pinch my nose, and we had to leave as soon as possible. I strongly suggest the building invest in a better ventilation system or wearing a mask upon everything. The smell was so pungent that I could smell it long after we left. 🫤😟
