My Beagle Sydney became very ill 3 months ago and Union Cross Animal Hospital did a fantastic job taking care of her all the way through to the end of her life. She had cancer that was inoperable so the goal was to just give her the best ending to what was a great life for her. Union Cross Animal Hospital was very kind and empathetic to our needs and desires to remove suffering and pain from her last few months of life. They were so patient, kind and sad with us when we had to make the tough decision to let her go. Thank you Union Cross Animal Hospital for allowing my family to have peace of mind that we did all that we could to ensure that we maintained a good quality of life for her until the very end.

Very nice people I have interacted with but sometimes it’s hard to get them on the phone, you end up having to leave voicemails. My dog recently had his dew claw messed up- it turns out they just cut the nail that chipped. Charged me 80$ and didn’t even cut the rest of his nails and kept him all day. I thought he was having a procedure. communication could use improvement.

It has been several years at this point, but I will never forget taking a less than 6 month old puppy in for dehydration, and you just put him in a cage on a shelf and let him die alone. You even called me to say he was doing better and I could come pick him up. You paid so little attention to him that you didn't even notice he was dead till I got there to pick him up. Poor little boy had his whole life taken because these people would rather sit around chatting than do there job. This has been years ago, maybe things have changed, but the lack of any care, despite the fact I was willing to pay through the nose has always bothered me.

We have been taking our pets here since around 2001. We have always had a good experience with them as vets whatever the circumstances have been - from routine checkups and shots, to pet emergencies. Dr. Tart, Dr Murphy and the staff have always taken excellent care of our pets.

DON’T WASTE YOUR VALUABLE TIME! I RARELY LEAVE POOR REVIEWS. I had a horrendous experience at Union Cross Animal Hospital, which I would rate 0 stars if possible. The manager, Jessica, made a scheduling mistake that completely threw me off guard because of the date. When I tried to discuss it, she got loud and defensive, showing a complete lack of professionalism. Despite my request to speak to the owner about the issue, Jessica was the only one allowed to communicate with them. Shockingly, she somehow twisted the situation and got me kicked out without any opportunity for me to explain. It's appalling that such a poorly behaved employee has the power to manipulate the situation to their advantage. I did miss some appointments because life happens but I always called. They do not even try to understand being rude from the very first missed appointment but I remained calm. They also scheduled me in their system different then the time I was told twice. If you believe your appointment is one day and that’s what they say but they put down another date how can you make it? You can’t. Furthermore, the veterinary practice seems more interested in pushing unnecessary medications like steroids, painkillers, and antibiotics for every little issue, solely to inflate the bill. This was clear to me the first time I went that there is no natural approach. Not only that but another neighbor of mine with two Australian Shepards has made the same statement and another friend of mine said a younger dog was killed here due to incompetence. It's clear they prioritize profit over the well-being of the animals they're supposed to care for. Honestly, I can't comprehend how anyone has had a positive experience here, unless they've been duped by the facade of professionalism. Avoid Union Cross Animal Hospital at all costs; your pet deserves better care elsewhere. EDIT: NOW I SEE WHY JESSICA FEELS LIKE SHE CAN TREAT CUSTOMERS HOW EVER SHE PLEASES. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE OWNER WHO JUST WANTED TO TELL ME SHE DIDN'T LIKE MY RESPONSE TO JESSICA'S UNPROFESSIONALISM. APPARENTLY THIS IS THE KIND OF OWNER WHO BELIEVES HER STAFF CAN DO NO WRONG AND JESSICA'S FEELINGS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN HER CUSTOMERS OR THEIR PETS. HORRIBLE UNPROFESSIONAL PRACTICES! I’M ALMOST CERTAIN IF THE OWNER OR MANAGER CHOOSES TO RESPOND TO THIS REVIEW IT WILL BE A RESPONSE THAT 1.BLAMES THE CUSTOMER AND 2. LACKS ACCOUNTABILITY. NOT ONCE DID SHE EVER EVEN ASK ME WHAT HAPPENED. SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH SOMEBODY WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT YOUR PET AND PRIORITIZES CUSTOMERS OVER EMPLOYEES WHO THINK THE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND THEM. IT’S OBVIOUS JESSICA IS USED TO WALKING ALL OVER PPL WHILE NEVER RECEIVING ACCOUNTABILITY FOR HER ACTIONS PROBABLY BC SHE WAS RAISED TO BELIEVE THE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND HER. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE.
