Such a great organization with a meaningful cause. Staff is friendly and they love for animals shows through. Don’t buy your next furry critter from a profit-driven breeder, instead, give your money to an organization that provides a home to animals in need.
Had a great experience adopting our puppy, Dodger. Our adoption counselor, Connie, was very helpful throughout the entire process and Dodger's foster mom was wonderful as well. Super grateful to have found this organization and add an amazing dog to our family. Thank you!
I LOVE Humane Tomorrow, their mission, and everything that they stand for! Many people have been frustrated (as I can see in the reviews) over the adoption process, but for us, it was JUST FINE. We were able to get our beautiful cheagle from this wonderful organization, and everything happened sooner than we expected. We applied on a Wednesday, and by Friday, everything was approved and we were able to pick up our puppy! The fosters are so kind and take extremely good care of the dogs and cats, and their mission and everything that they do to preserve the welfare of animals is truly inspiring. Their Flower’s Fund, spaying and neutering obligations, and treatments for various illnesses contribute to their substantial impacts on the community. Thank you SO MUCH for everything that you do, and continue to help more animals in their journey towards finding their forever home!
My goodness how is it possible to give a rescue such a low rating when they obviously do so much ‘ right’ in rescuing kitties. Well I’ll tell you how, I’m a huge animal lover and advocate for them. Every pet I’ve ever owned has lived out its natural life as part of our family. Our animals, currently 3 wiener dogs, are all spoiled, healthy and loved. We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved cat that had been a huge part of the family for 19yrs and 4 days. Which brought me to apply to adopt a kitten through this rescue. I completed the application fully, feeling that we would be a great fit for a kitten looking for a home. My husband and I are both home all day and our dogs are very familiar and happy to share us with a cat. I’m was utterly shocked and disappointed when the reply comes back as the adoption requested denied unless we would consider taking 2 of the kittens!!! What?!? That reasoning is absurd, truly! Why would you deny one kitten the opportunity to have a wonderful, happy and full life with us simply because we are only wanting to adopt one?!? Yes I’m very unhappy about this, but the big loser in all this is the sweet little kitten that just simply wants to be loved and a home to call his. Truly makes me question the full intent of this rescue. I would caution anyone who is considering applying for an adoption through this particular agency, to not do it. There are plenty of other rescue that would be happy to help you with a placement, as well appreciating your willingness to open your heart and home to a kitty in need.
I have adopted kittens from here. Their adoption program is fairly unique and helps match the right personalities and situation. Which has worked out great for me. I am now volunteering and fostering cats with this organisation. This is a great organisation to work with and members truly watch out for animals in their care and they are medically vetted. Fosters get good help from the community of this organisation. If you are looking for your new pet do consider this org for adoption. Volunteers or fosters are also needed.
I don't have many good comments to make about this establishment. I love what they stand for, and they do hound their adoption families to take care of their new furry babies, but their passion seems to be all words. The worst experience we have had was when we took our dog in to get neutered. When we went to pick up our dog, we found him in a cage with a large mound of poop in it (that was CLEARLY hours old) as well as the fact that Humane Tomorrow had lost our collar. We got a call two days later (today) from another woman who had picked up her dog the same day and they had not only given her dog our collar, but they had tried to send OUR DOG home thinking it was their dog. In their defense, their dog and our dog were siblings, BUT they were two different genders which meant they tried to give a male dog to the family of a female dog and also put the collar that said "Alfred" on a female dog assuming it was hers. If you mix up dogs of two different genders, there's really no excuse in my opinion. To add to my previous story, when we arrived to pick up our dog we were instructed to go to the back ourselves and pick him up; which really isn't the biggest deal, but we walked through two rooms that were absolutely disgusting and dirty, so that made me lose a little bit of respect for Humane Tomorrow. When we picked him up, there was no one there to give us instructions on the medication that was left for us, and the only note written was when to distribute them. We asked to speak with someone to gain further knowledge about when to know if the medication was necessary, and how frequently we should distribute the pain medication, and if we were to bring him back to have his stitches taken out, but were told that there was no one there with that knowledge. Finally, our dog did not have any cone on him to stop him from licking or chewing on his stitches, and they were unable to inform us if it was necessary to pick one up ourselves. We would simply recommend taking your dog or cat to another vet, but you are instructed to take your animal ONLY to this company if you adopt through Humane Tomorrow.
