Description "Pima Pet Clinic is open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday, in Tucson, Arizona, for veterinary urgent care."
The staff here is beyond amazing. Is it going to be expensive, yes. This is a walk-in urgent care facility. With every other vet in town being 2 to 7 weeks out on appointments, you have to expect the additional convenience cost. They never pressured me into additional costs. In fact, they helped me by pointing out which recommended items were not necessarily needed. I had to bring my fur baby, Sunshine, in to have her checked out after having multiple seizures. After a 2nd visit, we had a long talk, and they agreed with me that it was time for my fur baby to go. They were beyond supportive. Made her feel so safe and loved, the entire staff made their way by to love on her and say goodbye. We cried together. Gave her lots of love and treats. And they let me hold her as she passed. They never rushed me, gave me plenty of time, and helped me through the whole process. Losing a pet is so hard, but they genuinely make the process simple and are so supportive. As for all of the negative reviews, I genuinely can't understand. Again, you're gonna have to expect the additional costs, but they aren't going to recommend anything that isn't needed, and they are happy to explain everything in detail. If you are in need of emergency services, I can not recommend them enough. Thank you to everyone at Pima Pet Care for giving my sweet Sunshine a wonderful last night. She's sleeping peacefully now, thanks to you ❤️
This was my second time coming to Pima Pet Clinic for my dog Peaches. The first visit was on a Saturday four years ago after she was bit by a rattlesnake on her face. They took great care of her and she fully recovered. Peaches was going on 15 years this April. She suddenly started losing weight at a rapid pace even though she was still eating and drinking like she always did, she started to walk slowly, couldn’t run anymore and slept pretty much all day. I knew something was wrong and brought her here again. They ran tests on her and unfortunately my baby girl was very sick. Her kidneys were failing, she was in pain and only had about a week left to live. The vet recommended euthanizing her because she was in a lot of pain but I was very sad and couldn’t let her go at that moment (I wasn’t prepared). They gave me pain medication for her. I brought her home and spent one more night with her and went back the next morning and had her euthanized / cremated with ashes in an urn and paw print in clay. When I went to pick up her ashes she was in a very beautiful wooden urn and her paw print was in this beautiful red clay (I think). It was just so beautiful what they did. The staff was so amazing and caring. I really love what they did for her. I highly recommend this vet.
Pima Pet Clinic was an absolute joy to deal with. My 9 month old Shih Tzu puppy had a double ear infection, and NO ONE in town would see him-earliest, the next evening, all the way up to a month out! My baby was in extreme pain and couldn’t wait another SECOND to receive treatment. I called Pima to see if they could get him in, totally expecting ANOTHER no. When the sweet receptionist said bring him in right away, I almost dropped my phone! From the time I walked in, through my baby’s treatment, to the time we left, the entire staff was amazing, and the vet treated my little guy with the utmost care and kindness. She truly went above and beyond. Really, everyone there went the extra mile to make sure my baby was in as little pain as possible and got extremely thorough care. Thank you, Again, Pima! We so appreciate you and everything you did for us!!!
Our cat didn't want to wake up one morning and exhibited shallow breathing. We monitored him until noon and he was in the same state so we decided to take him in. They sedated him, gave him electrolytes, a urinalysis, and gave us an estimate of $1200 for x-rays they said we needed to determine if he had cancer... Our cat is 5 years old and very healthy so this was surprising. They said that the cat could have diabetes or cancer but that they wouldn't know without running these expensive X-rays. We asked if there were ways to tell if it was diabetes by watching what we feed him or if there was anything practical we could do at home and they didn't give us anything other than the recommendation for X-rays. We declined and paid them $650 for this experience. Our cat fully recovered the next day and has been completely normal for a week now. If we have any future issues we plan on taking our pets elsewhere.
Very accommodating and reasonably priced when compared to other emergency clinics. I called at 5 on a sunday and they were able to squeeze me in despite closing soon. Incredibly attentive and compassionate staff. I’ve taken my kitty here twice now and am very thankful for the veterinary team here :))
I went to Pima Animal Clinic with my 11 year old cat who has an abscess on his chin, we were in and out within an hour. Other emergency clinics had a 3-8 hr wait. The staff is excellent very caring and kind. Many years ago they helped with end of life care for one of my dogs and she was taken care of by the wonderful staff then and I was really happy with the care they provided for my cat recently. Thank you Pima Animal for providing great care for my babies! I will definitely be back if we have another emergency!
