Doctors here are great! They were able to fit me in quickly last minute and all of the staff were very knowledgeable! The ladies at the front desk were patient with my many questions when scheduling. My dog leans more on the anxious side and they worked at his pace when it came to drawing blood for his heartworm test - he jumped a mile high when he saw the needle and they were able to calm him!! Couldn't say enough wonderful things about Mt Pleasant!

I brought my 9 year old dog here for a mast cell tumor removal. The entire experience was an absolute nightmare. After surgery they brought my dog to me and wanted us to go into a room. One of the vet techs grabbed my dogs leash and started to drag her across the floor. I jerked the leash back and asked her to give my dog a second she just got out of a major surgery. The vet tech AGAIN jerks the leash from me and starts to drag my dog AGAIN. So a second time I had to take the leash from her and then I was able to calmly take my dog to the room. My dog was terrified. If she did this in front of me and others in the lobby I can’t imagine how my dog was treated behind closed doors. And that’s only the beginning. I called the vets office nearly 20 times over the next 4 days. My dog was in severe pain and the office kept telling me they were too busy and would get back to me later or that they left a sticky note on the doctors desk. My dog sat in pain for 4 days before someone actually prescribed her good pain medicine. The doctor who did the surgery told me that the cure for her cancer was surgical removal and now that it’s removed nothing else needed to be done. Two months later the cancer came back even more aggressive than before. I took her to a different office and found out that Mount Pleasent Animal hospital should have sent her tumor off to see if they got clean margins. This would have told us how aggressive the cancer was and that she needed more therapy than just the surgery alone. It would have also told us if we could have used Palladia to help treat her cancer. My dog has now passed from the cancer that came back. We never got the chance to follow up with chemotherapy because it grew back too quickly. We never got the answers we needed to treat her cancer because this office FAILED her from the very moment I swiped my credit card after surgery.

They are so understanding of my high anxiety dog. We will always be grateful for their expertise and compassion.

It’s a pretty big clinic that has laser therapy room, X-ray machine, and multiple exam rooms. I loved that tests were able to be taken at the site. Price is transparent. I didn’t have to wait too long to see a vet. Staffs were very kind and friendly. I was worried if I could get med only thru Chewy and that will delay the time for my chihuahua to get his med but they have their own mini pharmacy inside so I was able to pick up medicines right after the examinations.

3/1/24 UPDATE: I had the opportunity to speak with Nicole an administrator for the clinic who demonstrated outstanding customer service skills, was knowledgeable and willing to address all .my concerns. I was impressed with her professionalism. Although new to this clinic Nicole's interactions with me restored my confidence in remaining a client. The WORST experience I have had with a vet. Dr. Valli came highly recommended, He came in the room all of 10 minutes tops. Did a quickie exam. Seemed to be in a rush. Did I get to ask question - NO. I'm still waiting for a call back after leaving a message w/his administration 2 days ago. I honestly felt disrespect and disregarded. Mt. Pleasant is a HARD no for me. SMH...This should be a 1/2 star.
