Thank you for keeping us safe, not only through the Caldor and Angora fires but everyday! Thumbs up to all the fire departments and firefighters who saved South Lake Tahoe. Please know we are grateful!!! We lost a friend , Doug Martin, in 1995; and they dedicated a memorial plaque at the top of Heavenly Mountain so we have another reason to be thankful that the fire was stopped there. Keep up the above and beyond work SLT fire department!!!

I just want to give a HUGE shout out to the South Lake Tahoe Fire Department Station 1 for coming to my aid! Our power went out earlier today and shut off our ancient gas heater. I called the station to see if they could walk me through the process via phone or point me in the right direction (as I assume it is not in their job description to light my heater). I was super embarrassed, but I really didn’t want to electrocute myself or torch my home. Without hesitation Al, Holt and Tyler showed up within 10 minutes and took care of it. They took the time out of their overwhelming day of unfortunate events to help me. I cannot express my gratitude enough for these extremely helpful and patient men. Thank you for your speedy response and helpful tips! God Bless you and have a safe shift! ❤️🚒👨🏻‍🚒

FD had a nice '95-'99 Chevy K2500 Suburban when I cruised by in Aug. 2000. Weather-proof appearance to building.

I just want to say thank you to all the fireman And women who are fighting the fire, i do NOT Live over in South Lake Tahoe or Tahoe in general, but my heart soars to everyone there fighting these awful fires.
