My daughter had to do 13 hrs of community service for a ticket. She decided to help at this animal shelter, and when she arrived this morning they refused her!! Stating she was suppose to be here last Thursday, which is not true because you have to call the day before to confirm. The lady that runs the front desk ( bright red hair) was so rude to my daughter and disrespectful. I mean for someone to be that mean to someone is uncalled for! I hope she’s not that mean to the poor dogs and cats there! Victor was very nice and Joe the supervisor did not have any compassion what so ever also! Very mean people there. So that being said if you have to do community service I suggest you look elsewhere!

My dog walked over the fence from my yard because of snow levels being so high. She wanders like most 14 year old huskies. I didn’t have her harness on because she was laying by me at my house during breakfast. I noticed she was gone after snow blowing a bit and then walked around for hours looking for her and then called the pound thinking maybe she got turned in. She was turned in 15 minutes before me calling, some tourist grabbed her and took her to pound (blocks away from my house). They charged me 200 dollars for 15 minutes local dog treatment. Not friendly in any fashion completely robots when it comes to compassion of animals!

Thanks to Susan & Snoopy at Animal Control (& my brilliant Vet Doc Kelly) my chocolate Lab and best friend of 11 years, is still with me and doing well... after having a 10 lb tumor removed!! Snoopy's transfusion saved the day, and I plan to reach out to all our friends, to make much needed donations of food, blankets, etc.!! Anyone wanting a terrific dog, stop by the animal shelter and ask for Snoopy... he's handsome, very friendly, active, healthy, loving, and only 18 months old... just needs a good home!! Thanks guys, Bob

Called about a missing dog and they were able to check both places and were very nice snd helpful

5.02.19@ 2:42pm. Was at Lake View Commons about 10 minuets ago and I witnessed a bat flying around up in the trees. I'm just giving a heads up about this encounter because as we all know it is quite possible it has rabies. It eventually flew off across the street into the public campground area which is practically uninhabited today.
