Dr. Sara Ischinger is the best vet my family has ever had the pleasure to work with. My mother, Colleen, also has nothing but rave reviews. Our sweet boy Ozcar was in her care, and she just had a way of connecting with him. She did a lot of research, double-checked with colleagues, and only ran tests when she felt it was necessary. She was incredibly mindful of everything. We followed her from both Patchogue and Riverhead Vetco locations - She is THAT worth it! Dr. Sara and the staff at both Vetco locations are top-notch!!! They went above and beyond to ensure Ozcar’s comfort and prioritized him when it was time to say goodbye. We couldn’t save Ozcar. He was likely suffering from an aggressive cancer. He was in way too much pain, and it was breaking my mother and my heart. She gave us the option to wait for a sonogram but once she saw him, she also agreed it was time. Dr.Sara made the experience peaceful for him and let us grieve. She provided us with an ink Paw print and some of his fur. I deeply appreciate them. We received a condolence card - a standard practice from many vets - but THIS was different. The card was signed by everyone who'd worked with our boy. There were so many messages of love and support writen inside. The top fold had the most beautiful handwritten cursive of Ozcar's name. When my mom opened it, she cried. It touched all of us. I know my Ozkie boy would want his bowl given to another pup. We have just adopted a puppy named Jack. My mom and I are excited for the Vetco team to meet Jack. Truly thank you for EVERYTHING you did for Ozcar and my family!

Thank You ! Great Job. The entire staff is very friendly (&) knowledgeable. Sandy my (Yorkie) Puppy had a “Great Vet. Visit” , it went well. Was on time, excellent exam.

My miniature pincher was suffering terribly with allergies & an ear infection. My regular vet said she was booked up & couldn’t see her for two weeks. I asked if she could please see my dog sooner but she wouldn’t. My neighbor told me about his great experience with Vetco so I called them & they gave me an appointment the next morning. Dr Carroccia & her staff were professional competent & friendly. They treated my dog & she was better by the next day. I highly recommend Vetco for your pets.

The desr staff was very friendly and welcoming. The Vet was wonderful taking care of my cat, Birdie. She took great care to put me at ease about her care, offered information about alternative foods for my girl and gave me meds that have made my girl feel better.

Everyone was very pleasant and took great care of my dog. She is a rescue dog and I saw that she felt safe with the staff which says a lot!
