Lucky Pup Dog Rescue is one of the best dog rescues I know. Christine and Steve treat each rescue dog like their own. They provide each dog with the best medical care, training if needed, and love. Christine and Steve have the biggest hearts and they are genuine. They are so kind to others and transparent and honest. They do true rescue because they save the ones that are left behind and are on the euthanasia list. I had the pleasure of meeting Christine and Steve in person because they helped us save the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter when the city wanted to close it. They helped us fight to keep the shelter open. Christine and Steve also work alongside and support reputable dog rescues. They know that it takes a large community of dog rescues to work together in order to help rescue dogs. Lucky Pup Dog Rescue is an amazing dog rescue and I’m so grateful for what they do for dogs and the rescue community.

Lucky Pup Dog Rescue is the best! I used to support another Dog Rescue in San Diego that I absolutely love and does great work… But because I live 11 miles across the border in Mexico as a retired American, they would not adopt to me or allow me to foster… Even though I offered to come pick one of their members up, drive them to my home, show them around, and let them spend time with my current dog and that I would do all of the work going back-and-forth. Christine and Steve and Lucky Pup Dog Rescue were more than willing to work with me and we spent a lot of time together so they could ensure their dog was getting a good home. They keep in touch, I send them updates and pictures and they are wonderful loving people who will do anything for their dogs… Including working too hard even in pain from back injuries. Not only are they great but this Rescue is great and if you can support them in anyway you should.

I have volunteered and supported Christine and Steve Haslet since 2012 when I first became aware of the plight of homeless dogs in Southern California and the high euthanasia rates in most public shelters. I have never witnessed a more compassionate and loving couple as the Haslets. They spare NO expense in treating a dog for any condition and their commitment is unwavering. They put their entire hearts and souls into rescue and into animal advocacy. They follow up with each dog they have adopted and their standards are so high when screening potential adopters, you never have to question whether the dog is going to be living the best life. I highly recommend this rescue organization! Lois Chisholm, Rescue Volunteer and Animal Advocate

This may have been a rescue at one point, but now it’s a failed rescue. The owners adopted the dogs they rescued, but continue to asks for volunteers to walk their rescue dogs. When in reality it’s just walking their personal pets.
