I am a caretaker of 19 feral cats. I reached out to Richardsons to assist me with TNR. We have been successful-- only three cats left! Big thanks! Best rescue in VA. I also adopted a kitten from Richardsons. They educated me on how to care for my girl ♥️

My sister volunteers here, and I was able to visit the home for precious kitties, they were amazing, cute, furry and so lovable, just looking for a forever home, each one of them are adorable and are ready. It was great to see them playing, eating their treats and purring.

I did not end up adopting a kitten from this rescue as it just worked out that a kitten became available this past weekend that we bonded with at a different rescue. However, we had contacted Richardson’s initially and a nice volunteer named Sasha was super helpful and informative. I love how in depth their adoption process is and I can tell they truly care about their cats and their well-being. If I decide to adopt a friend for my new furry family member I will definitely keep this place in mind!

I've adopted two cats from Richardsons Rescue. One had a known preexisting and life long condition. Their team of volunteers have gone above and beyond soothing any concerns of mine and answering my questions as they arose. I've seen their outreach in the community and I've always been impressed. They work closely with local rescues and normal community members to do what is best for the cats residing in the greater Richmond area. I highly recommend them if anyone is looking to get into fostering, rescue, TNR programs, or adoption.

Richardson’s Rescue is hands down one of the best cat/kitten rescues to partner with. They are knowledgeable and they operate with integrity. Four years ago they guided me in trapping an injured feral cat and helped the cat receive the treatment it needed. Two years ago they assisted a stray Cat dumped on my street that tested positive for FIV and successfully placed him in a forever home. They have always gone above and beyond for community cats/kittens that need our help. I can’t say enough good things about this rescue.
