Specifically in reference to their Good Samaritan program for strays brought in: I brought a stray cat in who was in awful shape. I did not have a carrier with me so I improvised with a box. It took quite a while for me to be acknowledged and checked in, meanwhile this cat was naturally not content with staying in the box. After checking in, they had me sit in waiting area - no carrier offered to transfer the cat into for comfortability & safety - and I waited for at least 30minutes. Eventually the vet came out and he was very kind, I did appreciate his kindness and professionalism. I then left the cat in the facility’s care after being reassured by staff that I would receive an update on the cat when available. Late the next day, I called to see if I missed the update and the person who answered was very sketchy and told me legally they cannot give any updates whatsoever on Good Samaritan drop-offs. She said to see if CAA received the cat by their next business day and that’s all she could tell me. I asked if she could say what it means if the cat is not there on the next day; if it was possibly still in care or if it had to be humanely euthanized, etc. She was very agitated and said legally she cannot give me even the general options of what could happen to a stray in their care. I find this particularly odd since the Good Samaritan program website does say animals in the facility’s care could be there in care for long periods of time, so I don’t understand why she legally cannot tell me information that is publicly available on their website. I have on good authority, inclination that they search first for reasons to euthanize an animal brought in under this program’s circumstances. This program should be more transparent with information on animals they receive through the Good Samaritan program, especially since it is funded by the community through donations.

Excellent place to being animals whether it is for a sickness or just a wellness exam. Love Dr. Tully with all of my exotic birds! He is very thorough in explaining things to you to make sure you understand completely. Not many vets will take the time to sit with you for a few minutes to give you a complete understanding of things. This takes some truly compassionate about animals as well as their job to do so! Highly recommend going here!

They took fantastic care of Layla my Mainecoon who recently just passed. LSU gave us many options for treatments. I choose the radiation and the team kept me in the loop the whole time and completed her course . After a lengthy battle she got tired and said goodbye. I’m thankful we were able to get that extra time with her. In the ends they let us hold her as she took her last breath and were very gentle with the situation. It was not the cheapest place by far but they can and will give a higher level of care. All of the money was worth 9 extra months with our girl.

Dr. Lai and his entire staff took excellent care of Logan while he was having his radiation cancer treatment. My wife, myself and Logan would like to tell the entire staff how much we appreciate the care and love they gave our best friend. Logan is home with us now and doing great once again thank you very much.

Thank you to Dr. Victoria Hare and her team for the amazing work, effort, and support you guys gave to my parents and I; our beloved dog, Sparky, had to undergo emergency treatment this weekend. Unfortunately, our buddy couldn’t go on due to his age. He was eighteen years old and lived a wonderful, beautiful life. Again, thank you doctor and your team for the extraordinary efforts put in to save him and keep him comfortable in his last days. His trip crossing the rainbow bridge was, I am sure, a beautiful one.
