If you are reading this, I commend you on trying to adopt an animal in need as opposed to going to a breeder. Unfortunately, it appears that you will need to look elsewhere. This group does not appear to be legitimate. We are very interested in adopting a cat on their website. Based on the questions and their criteria, we should be approved for adoption. But after applications, calls, emails, and even messages on Facebook, they are completely non-responsive. When you call and no one answers, the voicemail says they cannot take any more surrenders because the sanctuary is full, but that could be alleviated if they actually responded to inquiries. They do however seem ready and willing to take donations, for what I am not certain. Very disappointing.
If I could, not only would I give a negative review I would fine them. We saw a dog we wanted to adopt. Badly. We decided we’d rescue rather than go through a breeder. Filled out the EXTENSIVE application IN IT’s ENTIRETY. And elaborated how we lost our golden to cancer. Followed up with multiple calls. To this day we have not received ONE communication back. Nothing. If the dog isn’t an available I get it. But TELL US. We’re happy to move on. Our next step. We’re going to drive there and beat on doors. These people FAIL at what they’re doing. This type experience will push you to just go to a good breeder. They will at least talk to you
Fairly certain this isn’t a legitimate organization. I applied for a seemingly young kitten two weeks ago, haven’t heard anything. Left a voicemail, called over a dozen times, sent a Facebook message and then showed up. Mary at their office told me that they would reach out to confirm they got my application. Never got confirmation. They responded finally on Facebook to say they had several applications for that kitten, and they were reviewing them in order. Today I saw that they’ve updated pictures of all three litter mates and they’re fully grown. They aren’t adopting animals out, I was an excellent applicant and there was zero reason I would be refused. My guess is money laundering of sorts.
I had the most amazing experience here, all thanks to Mary. She supported us as we asked many questions, and throughout this whole process was so accommodating and helpful. Now we have a new forever friend!
I’ve called countless times and have left applications/emails for a fur baby and no response. Their voicemail machine has too many messages on it and I was not able to leave one. If they want to give these animals a loving home, why are they unresponsive? Very disappointed and surprised they are still in business with the lack of communication and effort.
I really didn't want to believe all the negative Google reviews, but they are true. Put in an application for 2 senior dogs and never got a response. Called, emailed, sent messages via their website, absolutely no response. What's worse, about a month later, I see them begging for people to adopt their senior pets on Facebook. I'm trying but no one responds! Starting to wonder if this is a front for money laundering or something. So sad that animals need homes and people want to take them in, but this facility doesn't want to let them go.
