Palisades Vet clinic has always been courteous and attentive. They work to keep my dog calm during their procedures, they are on time, and timely with their treatments. They try to make sure to bundle your treatments to maximize discounts too, which I appreciate. Pay is easy because they let me keep a card on file, and their invoices come by email. They offer easy online scheduling and parking is easy too. They also have a nearby park, which is good to calm my dog's nerves before or after a visit.

Overall, we had a negative experience here with our two cats, leading us to conclude that other local veterinarians are better suited to manage your cat care needs. We lost trust in this clinic largely because of Dr. Mazin, who did not appear equipped to treat cats from a medical or personal perspective. Dr. Mazin appeared inept or uninterested (or both) in cat care. In our experience, Dr. Mazin was too harsh in examining our cat, and did not show any basic bedside manners or gentleness in handling a cat. He was brash in answering our questions and even guilted us for wax in our cat’s ear (which they normally self-clean). We quickly realized he was either not truly invested in our cat’s needs or not steeped enough in cat care. He provided us a treatment plan that proved to be extremely expensive and ultimately unnecessary for our cat, and even recommended that we quarantine our cats from each other because one was autoimmune. Basic common sense shows that it is silly and impractical to quarantine cats (who are brothers) from each other for an indefinite time because one cat tested positive for something the other would almost certainly have based on their familial relationship and backgrounds. It’s possible he is more equipped to treating dogs, but we were disappointed in the lack of basic empathy, competency, or personal politeness we’d typically look for in a trusted vet (especially for the high prices here). We switched to Dr. Meko at Cherrydale Vet and had a much better experience, with treatment plan, price, and affection for our cats. Both are thriving now…and not quarantined…lol We all can only speak from our own perspectives, but we wanted others to be aware of our experience when making your decision to trust a vet for your cat(s) in DC.

I started taking my cats to Palisades almost 5 years and have had nothing but great experiences! I especially recommend Dr DeLuca - when my cat was diagnosed with cancer she was so helpful explaining our options, answering questions via email throughout the chemo process, and checking in every step of the way. Because of the chemo, I was at Palisades a lot for bloodwork and check ups, and while I do want to acknowledge they're a little expensive, the high level of care and responsiveness from Dr DeLuca and the rest of the staff made it worth it. There were also several times where I needed an urgent visit due to my cat having an unexpected illness and they were always able to squeeze us in same day. In short - highly recommend!

Dr. Liu, thank you again for taking such great care of Kobe! He’s had his best day of this week today. Everyone at your practice were so kind and friendly to Kobe, even the doggy parents. Getting him out for a car ride and seeing such friendly people was great for him. He came home and started to show signs of his old self. Thx again ❤️

The staff is amazing! -front desk is helpful and knowledgeable! -vet tech was warm and welcoming from the start! -Dr. Mazin was knowledgeable and helpful to ease a new dog mom worries! He spent time explaining everything and helped ease worries of adopting a reduce! If you are looking for a new vet I highly recommend them. They were wonderful and got me in within a week of adopting!

Best vets and best clinic imaginable. I wish I had more pets just so I could bring them to see these lovely people.
