Really fantastic place that lets you hang out with adoptable cats in an awesome atmosphere! It’s especially nice for people like me who cannot adopt another animal myself but loves animal experiences and supporting rescue. The facility was clean, decorated beautifully, staff were really friendly and shared background stories on the cats and the kitty cats are all clearly well cared for. Visited Washington DC from Milwaukee, WI and I’m so glad we added this to our travel itinerary. The free Polaroid snapshot is such a nice touch and so unique (I’ve been to 10 cat cafes and this is the only one I’ve seen do this). I wish caffeine free tea options were available and would have preferred an hour long session for the price we paid but it’s for a fantastic cause so - 5/5 stars!
Went for some kitty cuddle time and was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and kept a sharp eye on the cats. The cats were playful and energetic. We didn't get any food or drinks but they did have a menu. No shoes in the car hangout space so be sure to wear socks when you go. Also be patient, the cats operate on their own schedule.
Oh I just loved this place. Could have stayed all day. We had 70 mins here with 26 cats and kittens. Just heaven. Staff are lovely. Place is spotless and so comfy and the cats and kittens are so well cared for and happy. I have 3 cats at home, and it was lovely to see cats while visiting the US. No smells of litter boxes, which I know were behind a curtained off area. Be aware ....it's in the basement of a building in Georgetown so parking isn't handy and you can only gain access via a stairs so not at all wheelchair friendly (even if u carried a wheelchair down the stairs, I don't think it would fit in the narrow entrance) . There is no 'cafe' here. While they have a menu, the staff go out to purchase the drinks/cookies from stores nearby. The staff are very nice, very affectionate towards the cats. Of the 26 cats there, she said 8 had been adopted, which was good to hear. Be careful to follow instructions given by staff about certain cats you should NOT pick up. Some are post surgery and are still tender, and some are just not huggers . Very therapeutic session.
we had an amazing time at the cat cafe! the kitties were playful and energetic they were also sleepy and cuddly. the staff were very friendly and helpful for info on adoption. if we lived in the area, we’d be back again! would definitely recommend if your a kitty lover!
I recently visited Crumbs & Whiskers Cafe in Washington, DC, and had a delightful time with the adorable cats. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for spending some quality time with furry friends. The staff were friendly and clearly cared about the well-being of the animals, which was great to see. However, I found the pricing to be a bit on the high side. While I understand that the fees help support the cats and the cafe, it felt a bit steep for the time allotted. It would be great if they could offer more affordable options or packages for frequent visitors. Overall, Crumbs & Whiskers is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the company of cats, but be prepared for the higher costs. Despite the pricing, it's a unique and enjoyable experience, especially for cat lovers.
Love Crumbs and Whiskers! We took our daughter here for her birthday after stumbling upon it in Georgetown one morning. The place is very cute, full of adorable kittens, and the staff is incredible. The birthday package for our daughter was great and the staff took care of her for her special day. Hopefully we’ll be back soon!
