These people are amazing. Beth the volunteer that helped me over the phone is extremely passionate with birds. I was crying. My family’s glue trap was left outside accidentally. And of caught a poor bird. They had the clinic ready and waiting for this beautiful creature. I Hope it’s ok. That’s what I named it. Thank you Guys
Fantastic and helpful! We took in an abandoned house finch and they were extremely responsive. Drop off was easy and a nice little drive from Wilmington. 10 out 10.
I rescued a Killdeer chick from a sewer full of muddy water last night and did not think it would survive overnight. To my surprise it did but was in tough shape. I took it to Tri-State the next morning and within 6 hours it was a completely different bird! It was cleaned up and given a subcutaneous drip and ate mealwoms. When the bird was returned to me just a few hours later I did not even recognize the bird! It looked fabulous and had a ton of energy. Please donate to this facility. They are awesome and are experts in their field. There are volunteer opportunities there as well. Please NEVER try to rehabilitate any birds on your own. Take them here instead. You will give the bird a much greater chance of survival!
I have brought more than a dozen birds to Tri State and I have always provided a donation.A number of the birds that I brought were saved by great care and I picked them up and returned them to the location where I found them.On my most recent visit i found a bird in traffic in great condition and I brought to Tri State for care.My wife had to argue to have it properly raised by wild life professionals. The representative said that we should take the bird home and release it which was impossible. I thought the mission of Tri State was to give every bird the best chance possible for survival. I have brought a number of birds that were injured and I doubted their chance of survival but my most recent bird should have had a good chance of survival. The public can't care for birds the way Tri State can.
I had an injured bird and they took care of it for me. They were very sweet and compassionate. They kept me in the loop on the birds progress. I completely recommend.
Nice way back down a wooded road perfect area for rehabilitation on all bird species, the drop off was very simple and the woman that took the baby cat bird was very nice and seemed to care about the wild birds that they take in . I'm sure I will be seeing them again.
