I took my fur baby Rottweiler here after our other clinic merged with them. She had a bad allergic reaction to fleas, and they helped my baby girl immediately with patience and great attention to her needs. I enjoyed the Doc and Vet tech that helped! My 5 dogs now have a new home. Plus, no long wait time. Awesome!
Dr. Stephens performed a very thorough examination on my 2 dogs. She was professional, compassionate and personable. She explained her findings in understandable terms and made recommendations for treatment; without being pushy. Her staff were all helpful and friendly. It made for a wonderful experience for both me and my dogs. We will definitely return for future visits.
I've been taking my EB there for over 9 years. I chose Park Plaza because of their familiarity with the breed. Doc is knowledgeable and straightforward. Some people might be put off by her bedside manner, but I trust her implicitly with my bully. I don't need a friend, I need someone to shoot straight and give me the information I need to make health decisions for my furbabies. She also saved my son's Dobie with an emergency surgery after she ingested 7 cupcakes still in the silicone molds and 4 got stuck. Update: There is nothing wrong with Doc's bedside manner. My husband and I have always liked her and she has tons of compassion, she's just straightforward. She's cried with us and laughed with us. We lost our Bo nearly 4 weeks ago due to an enlarged heart and liver. We had to take him to an emergency vet to have him put to sleep because he was struggling. I made a memorial post on Facebook that night and she called the next morning to find out what happened. She didn't have to call. If it was about the money, she wouldn't have bothered. She's always been about the animals. To the people who complained about COVID protocols: Doc was hospitalized for 2 weeks with COVID and nearly died. Think you might be a little skittish after that experience?
Staff was very helpful, companionate, patient, and kind. They all took outstanding care of us. It was late at night. My Jelly Roll was poisoned, and presented with a high fever, panting, head bobbing, pacing, circling, and frantic. They were able to figure out that my boy had swallowed an Adderall, kept him overnight, and after 24 hours of care he got to come home early.
We took our deceased Uncle's dog there to see what we could do to make his life as comfortable as we could. This same doctor diagnosed him as fifth stage leukemia prior to my Uncle's passing, and we were just going to see if there was anything we could get for his respiratory infection he had. She talked us into doing this test and that test until the bill was $350, and that we should go ahead and have this other test done, which would have made the total close to $1000, which we did not have. I just got the impression she was only interested in getting us to spend more money, and not really caring about the dog. She did prescribe some medicine, but it did him no good whatsoever. He got so bad that we finally had to put him down. Thank goodness for 'Prairie Paws' animal shelter. They were very sympathetic to our cause and treated Bo like he was family. He's out fishing with my Uncle now, and I can finally rest. I give them. C-.
$1000 into my dog to only be told by a kid I need a specialist. doctor never came back in to discuss anything In my 65 years of having pets Ive never been treated so poorly
