I cannot recommend this vet office more. On our first appointment, the staff was welcoming and kind, and didn’t pressure us into any purchases (we did sign up for the basic care plan for our new dog to get her vaccines and make sure she stayed healthy). Earlier this month, our husky got very sick. The staff not only got us in almost immediately (including calling throughout the day before the appointment to check on Jenna and see if they needed to move her appointment), but also were quick to diagnose her, and even quicker to get her in for the surgery she urgently needed the next morning. On top of all of this, they pulled every single string they could to make this urgent surgery as affordable as possible to us, while also provided the utmost care to our sweet girl. The staff text me through the day of her surgery, and the surgeon messaged me directly to tell me how she was progressing. We have the goofball we love and missed dearly back because this office acted quickly and with compassion and care. And I cannot thank them enough.

Every single time I come here, the staff is INCREDIBLY sweet, and comforting --- very informative.. but everytime I come in, my prescriptions for my dogs enlarged heart/hypertension (causing her to have labored breathing) *never* gets filled. So I pay for the exam, just to be told to go to another animal hospital, where Ill have to pay for another exam, to get the original prescription she cannot go without. So I've put my life on hold for 3 days now, to sit and comfort my sweet girl, while I call over and over, to VCA & Pharmacy, delirious from sleep loss over this, while no scripts ever get sent. I don't understand why this has happened so many times. I just dont....get it.

Dr. Rivaleau is an exceptional doctor. Each time I bring my Yorkies in, she sits with us for a long time, listens to every one of my concerns, and has such an amazing way of answering my questions without making me feel stupid. She is patient and absolutely loves animals. I can't recommend her enough.

VCA Laurelhurst is great! Prices are reasonable, staff is excellent and very friendly. It's always been a challenge getting good care for our reactive and anxious large dog and the vets and techs at VCA Laurelhurst have been wonderful and patient with him and dedicated to doing whatever it takes to make sure he gets the care he needs to be happy and healthy. We have been very happy with the care and service at VCA!
