Dearborn is the only place I’ll take my animals! They are so kind, generous and you can tell they LOVE animals! From our very first visit until now, they have been the experts I trust. My dog and cat have been going to them for four years for all of their routine or sick visits. And now they are walking me through the last (hopefully) years of my dogs life. Since my girl has been diagnosed by Dr. Ellington with cancer, she has been more than generous with her time and care of Sasha. She walked me through all the treatment options and compassionately allowed me to make the best decision for my baby. Now she walks me through every new symptom and medicine to try to help Sasha have the best quality of life. I am beyond great to the whole clinic staff! They are constantly busy and constantly kind and caring. It’s really a magical place.

Love love love this office! Dr. Asher, who is new to the clinic, was our vet where we live, which is about an hour away! We were also new to our area and our vet is just as important as our own primary care physicians. Two of our pups had gotten into a pretty intense argument and the smaller one needed attention ASAP. ER near was not open yet for the day. I just called the office and she was the doctor still there, it was close to closing. She said come on and stayed to make sure our pup was treated and all her needs were met! We were devastated when she let us know she was leaving our area. However, we loved her so much, we followed! She landed EXACTLY where she’s suppose to be, with colleagues that love their patients too!! We have a family full of vets and we also have several animals so we make the trip often. Thank you for being such a great staff and welcoming us with all our craziness and entourage of pups!! Sorry for long post!!

Such amazing people start to finish!! We adopted our “Walter” ( orange and white kitten from Dekalb animal rescue) and this vet was one of about twenty we had provided to us. We called a couple of others but this business had the most positive reviews!! Well now add us to that group!! We are so grateful to have found them!! Talk about people actually caring and being so professional and kind! I will gladly bring all my fur family here! Their prices are so ok and the care is exceptional!! Keep up the amazing work you dear family of practitioners!!! Beyond happy!!

I love our vet. The staff are wonderful and take amazing care of my Corgi. They show nothing but love and compassion. My dog has anxiety about the vet like all dogs. But he is always such a happy boy after a checkup.

Long story short, if you're late to an appointment at Dearborn Animal Hospital, they'll yell at you and kick you out, regardless of your pet's urgent needs or your status as an existing client (many other reviews on Google report similar experiences). We've never been treated this way by any other vet, and we always have at least three pets at a time. Needless to say, we're never going back to Dearborn Animal Hospital. Here's what happened: Our cat stopped eating and drinking on Thursday night. As existing clients, we called Dearborn on Saturday for an emergency appointment. They had no availability and referred us to emergency clinics. We secured an appointment on Sunday at the Pet Falk clinic in Sandy Springs, where they stabilized our cat with IV fluids but couldn't draw blood due to a lack of experience and tools for handling a scared cat although he was in such a weak condition. So, we had to rely on Dearborn, our primary vet, for the blood test and any other diagnostics. On Monday morning, we called Dearborn around 9 AM. No one answered until 9:15, when a kind lady offered us a 9:30 appointment, the only one available that day, so we rushed but arrived about 15 minutes late. Upon arrival, the older lady at the front desk identified us and asked us to wait. After about 10 minutes, she returned back to harshly scold us for being late. She said Dr. Linda Ellington refused to see us. When I expressed surprise, another employee joined in with the same hostile demeanor, asking us to leave without offering any solution. Their lack of empathy for our cat was palpable. I quickly gave up and asked to use the waiting area to call other clinics. As I started dialing, another employee yelled from across the room to reiterate the refusal! I replied that I was looking for another place to take my cat. Luckily, I found a same-day appointment with another vet's clinic and our cat received competent and caring treatment there and started eating and drinking again the next day. Dr. Linda Ellington, I may never understand your issue, but you and Dearborn Animal Hospital are not the only vet in the area. I'm grateful my cat was spared from your clinic, and we spent our money where he was treated with care and respect. Thank you for revealing your true colors early enough.

I'm writing this review with a heavy heart and a sense of extreme disappointment. After years of trusting this establishment with my pets, I've recently had several unpleasant experiences with Dr. Linda Ellington. Unfortunately, her behavior has been consistently condescending and dismissive of patients' concerns. Recently, I brought my pet to the clinic four times for the same issue, only to be met with gaslighting and condescending remarks from Dr. Ellington. Despite my concerns and observations, she repeatedly told me that my pet was simply "dramatic" and brushed off my concerns. I was desperate for help, as my pet had lost interest in eating, walking, and even her favorite activity - riding in the car. The vet techs were always concerned and empathetic, but Dr. Ellington's attitude was unhelpful. As I reflect on these experiences, I'm left wondering if Dr. Ellington's behavior is influenced by my race or my pet's breed. Unfortunately, I've spoken to several minority clients from my alma mater who have shared similar experiences with Dr. Ellington - curt, passive-aggressive responses that made them feel unheard and dismissed. It's disheartening to see a veterinarian who seems more focused on their own biases than providing quality care to innocent animals. I've wasted hundreds of dollars on unnecessary visits and treatments, and it's a shame that it took a change of veterinarians for me to receive a proper diagnosis. My advice to Dr. Ellington is to take empathy and sensitivity training to better understand the impact of her behavior on minority patients and their pets. As a veterinarian, you have a unique opportunity to serve and care for animals, not discriminate against them based on their breed or their owners' race. I hope that this review will serve as a wake-up call for Dr. Ellington to re-examine her approach to patient care and provide a more inclusive and compassionate environment for all patients.
