Description With a range of Veterinary services tailored specifically for cats, Feline Veterinary Center is the place to go for premium, dedicated and innovative feline care. Our top priority is your cat's well being and comfort. Our team is committed to the belief that your cat deserves the same advanced medical care as you receive.
We have a very delicate and special kitten (a Sphynx, lots of unique health issues) and the veterinarian (Dr. Brownstone) was very knowledgeable and experienced. This is now our main cat vet, despite it being a pretty long trip for us. Definitely recommend!
There's a lot of places to go to get veterinary care. After my cat had gotten quite sick I had called around and this was one of the few places that was willing to shuffle their schedule around to see her. The staff and the vet were all very kind and accommodating, despite COVID restrictions. The care here and personal attention is greatly appreciated. I know that experiences will vary, but I've been to quite a few vets and this place stands out. We had to have one of our cats put down, and I won't drove on, but the care showed. Our other cat had gotten into a fight and got sick. Was handled well, promptly, and with clear options laid out. Another thing I have to comment on is their billing process. I've been to so many vets that push treatments and when the bill comes it can leave a bad taste in your mouth. Here, after consultation but before treatment they go over what they want to do, then give a range of cost based on unknowns. I knew what I was agreeing to, and after multiple visits I am continuously happy with the process. Can't recommend enough.
The people there are great, as is the care. We're pretty new clients, but so far all has gone well. The only challenge is the short hours, but they partner with Bishop Ranch to cover the gaps. I like that it's not one of those practices bought up by a big corporation, so the care is using the judgment of the doctor, not the corporate overlord.
The Feline Medical Center is amazing! Lauren is warm, inviting and has ALWAYS gone above and beyond in being accommodating; she is wonderful! Dr. Pas is gentle, caring, informative and thorough; she is extremely comforting. Her assistants, Samantha and Angela, are also gentle and caring. I feel confident that our cats care is in good hands and would highly recommend the Feline Medical Center to anyone looking for exceptional feline care.
I absolutely am so grateful to Dr. Wallace and everyone else at FMC for the care my cat (and I) received at their facility. I have never been to a place so knowledgable, loving, and real about medical care. When my cat was diagnosed with diabetes, Dr. Wallace did everything to try and help me take care of her, and didn't pressure me to get insanely expensive medical tests and procedures that wouldn't have changed her prognosis. We just had to put my cat down today, and Dr. Wallace came and did it here at my apartment. It was incredibly sad but I cannot thank her enough for her compassion and bravery in doing this job. I am so very thankful!
This review reflects only Priscilla, who does pet grooming on the premises of Feline Medical Center, not FMC or their staff. I am posting because I saw another posting by Jeff (in Pleasanton) commenting on her lack of professional behavior, and I have decided it is time to speak up and add to his review. 2 years ago, near the end of my kitty's life, I brought him into FMC for some blood work and fluids. Since they had a groomer onsite, I thought it might be nice to get rid of some of the really large fur mats that had accumulated along his back and haunches, since in his old age and renal illness, he hadn't been grooming as much. Priscilla was free at the moment, and so one of the vet techs took my cat into the back room. Oddly enough she never came out to meet me. I didn't hear anything, but the vet himself actually brought my cat back. He told me that he had to stop Priscilla. When I took a closer look, my poor poor, 16 year old kitty was trembling and visibly in discomfort, so still, eyes almost closed, barely moving, except for the shaking. I looked at him and where she had tried to shave off the mats, there were 3 bloody wounds along his lower spine! Even now, 2 years later, it makes my heart break to think I put him through that when he was fine and holding it together before seeing Priscilla. Once I got him home and tried to make him comfortable, we realized to our dismay that he had a pronounced limp on one side. We ended up realizing that she did not take the cat's healthy or well being into mind. She just went about her business, even though he was probably protesting loudly. I believe in order to hold him still, so she could continue to remove fur and SKIN, she practically crushed him down. Thus injuring him and causing the limp. I can't even describe how it still makes me feel to think she could do that in good conscience and still charge me. After seeing the open wounds on his back, I asked the clinic for my money back, that I didn't want him groomed if he was getting skin razored off. They asked her, by the way she never came out to talk to me, she communicated with me only through the clinic staff, and she told them that she would not discount or refund my fee because she had "already done the work and only stopped because she had been asked to stop." In my mind, she is highly unprofessional and cares only about being paid, not about the animals, their well being and whether what she is doing is beneficial to them or not. I will NEVER recommend her, and I will now make sure that I post this review of what she did to my poor elderly cat, wherever I can. I will make sure the entire area knows about her lack of conscience. My cat was frail but stable before going into Priscilla that day. After coming home with the limp, his condition quickly degraded and he died only 5 days later. NEVER use Priscilla if you care about your pet, and how they are treated. Also to repeat, this has no bearing on the staff at FMC. They are 4/5 stars.
