I’ve been volunteering at Best Pals for close to a year and have nothing but good things to say about Michelle and the rescue itself. All of the cats and dogs are very well cared for and given a safe place to stay, along with quality medical attention, until they find their forever homes. I have seen firsthand that rescuing animals is not easy, but Michelle always acts in the best interests of the animals in her care. Please consider adopting, donating or supporting this organization in any way that you can. We need more rescuers like Michelle and more rescues like Best Pals.

I met Michelle at BestPals Animal Rescue Center 8 years ago. I cannot say enough good things about Michelle and BestPals. Their adoption process is very thorough in order to find the right home for each animal. We adopted senior bonded sisters who were transported from a shelter in Texas to BestPals in Holland, MI. It was love at first sight when we met our girls. Michelle treated all of the animals in her care as if they were her own. Although both our girls have since passed, we will be forever grateful to Michelle and BestPals for rescuing them so they could rescue us.

I have known Michelle for six years now and have fostered more than a handful of cats through her over the years — one of which we adopted after our own fur baby passed on this year. Michelle is very responsive to questions concerning behavior and needs. We have done well with most of our fosters by being patient and giving them time to warm up and settle in, which often takes 2-4 weeks for nerves to ease and cats to warm up to us. My teenagers still love volunteering and visiting the shelter.

I've known Michelle for many years and have fostered for Best Pals. I have never met anyone more passionate and dedicated to animals. She goes above and beyond to make sure her animals are well taken care of, receiving proper veterinary care and nutrition. Running a shelter/rescue is not for the faint of heart and can be very tiresome. Michelle always has a positive attitude and is a pleasure to work with.

I have been volunteering at Best Pals for a while now, along with my daughter who was the one that introduced me to Best Pals and Michelle. I have always been impressed with the work she does and the dedication she has for all the animals in her care. This place really is the definition of a shelter. This is a no kill shelter, so a lot of the animals that come in are from situations where the owner has died, or can't care for a pet due to a physical problem, are moving and can't bring their pet with them or can't provide for their pet financially. Michelle takes them in, gives them the vet care they need and tirelessly takes care of them. Everyone I've met at the shelter are all loving and dedicated to the animals
