The Daniel Pitino Shelter is a remarkable place. If you are in need of a place to stay so you can get on your feet this is the place to go. Whether you're a single Mom, a single Woman, a family or a single Dad, they will help you as long as your willing to do your part. **No single Men.** I stayed there between for almost a year in 2020, before the Rapid Rehousing Voucher's and 99.9% of the Staff that was there is no longer there. They were amazing. I'm sure The Staff that's there now are wonderful as well. Timmy is one of the only Staff members left from my Pitino stay. He's absolutely awesome. They can and will set you up for you to pave your way to a new self-sufficient life. +They have a donation room so you can get some ,new to you, clothes. +They have on-site washer and dryer. +Provide Donuts and coffee for the shelter peeps and community every morning. +Provide lunch daily +Dinner for Shelter Peeps nightly. ++Best of All they have Deep roots in the community and if your willing to help yourself..... They will go above and beyond, to help you get established. Thank You Rick Pitino for Establishing the Daniel Pitino Shelter, Thank to 99.9% of the 2020 Staff. Without Y'ALL I would not have made it through that time in my life. Forever Grateful!!!

I wish I can say what I want to the only thing is I like the owner and a few of the workers but the social workers talk to you with attitude and threaten and they really don't do to much for you but threaten. Some people can some people can't it's all who you know and they don't enforce their own rules.

Very caring place for the homeless who need help. They accept donations. The staff are friendly and the security is awesome

Great place that is helping out our community. They are very kind and are Christian based. The soup kitchen is also a welcomed gift to Owensboro. Volunteer or donate some of your time to this blessed shelter.

I had an opportunity to help cook and serve lunch. I met some amazing people.

This place refuses non married families. So if you fell upon a hard time with your boyfriend and your little baby, they could care less if you were living on the street.Awful. Please donate time, money and resources to shelters that dont discriminate. God and jesus and true Christian's wouldn't judge..
