The only reason why I am giving 2 stars is because Danika was very nice and helpful. My dog had to be quarantined for 10 days because we did not have his rabies paperwork( which I completely understand). The problem is when I picked my dog up yesterday he had lost 10 pounds, he was severely dehydrated and soiled in urine and his own poo. He has been paranoid and seems like he was hurt in some way. We were lied to by the tech that took and I think they have lied to the Broken Arrow police about how they actually care for animals.
I adopted my cat there in 2022 and my experience there was average but the guard was nice and i love my cat so very much. My review right now though is based off of the fact that i have called every day for the past three days and nobody is answering the phone. I have left multiple messages and still no one has gotten back to me. It is frustrating because i need to see about getting documents from them, but i work overnight and since they open so late into the morning I cannot physically go there within a reasonable time frame with my schedule.
Talked about killing the 4 month old dog I surrendered infront of me. I was already feeling sad, walked out feeling worst. The dog wasn’t mine I was trying to do the right thing.
I had a dog in my care for a couple days and had to take her here. She was very sweet, but when around my dogs she attacked them and she attacked me bc she was scared. I had no other option but to take her here and it wasn't until after going through the process and giving her to the lady that I was told it was a kill shelter.. my heart dropped. After I gave the dog to the lady, she kept saying to the dog " she won't come back, she doesnt want you anymore". It broke me... I have two dogs I rescued and I didn't have the room for a 3rd large one. It breaks my heart that there as so many pups without a home and I'd take all of them if I could...
In mid April I rescued a long haired black lab pup, took him into my home, no collar or tag, neighbor said he not know someone dropped him off out in road, I kept him to be mine and got things for him, made him my house dog and slept in my bed, he was my Velcro dog and was gonna train him to be my PTSD dog, lady who was moving called the animal shelter, lady officer took him asap, let her know could I have the dog, I want him, I rescued him, that lady woulda never picked him up out of street, so lady spoke with me on side of house, said walk down road and just pat the $25, that was no problem except another lady intimidating me in property , the officer didn't put in my address nor ask the owner if dog needed removed from property, knew he'd be gone quick, lady that was in a d out tenant was insisting I wasn't allowed the dig cuz she wanted it, I gave stranger lady time to get it so was going to get dog I rescued, very unfortunately it was adopted, I asked if they could let new owners know if the situation changed I loved him, wanted the dog so if situar tion changed it rehoming it please let me have the pup I rescued, please, very important fur my health with PTSD, they said they couldn't , they also said there was🍻 absolutely no report that there was ever a lab pup picked up at this adress, it was impossible, says noo I have video on my phone, it most certainly was, the man had to go, called another time to see if they could just give a message to the family got the dig, they said nooway it's against policy, when lady knew I wanted the dog badly I felt she shoulda helped me, they found owners across tiwn who wasnt willung ti claim him, ice been very hopeless and upset, i needed that lab puo fjr my RSA dog a d tgen ptsd dog traini g, im upset, they dint even, the lady dudnt ecen repirt where she ecen licked him up, theur in such a rush, they dont ecen repirt where tge animal was pucked up, i stay up all niggt sibce havibg tge dig, he helped me sleep ECT, he was the purfect dog i lost, i have some ptsd and sobi let myself get ran over, lady was tild i wanted the dig abd rescued it abd not ecen repirt tge adress, i jyst feel theese pol dont care, definatley not the secind man i spike ti, he just vit very upset.
We adopted this beautiful boy 2 years ago & he was fixed & had his shots by a vet before we took him home. The officer who showed us around was friendly & the kitties seemed to like him. My only complaint (and it’s not a major one) is they were way off with his age. They told me 3 years old but it was obvious he was much much younger. I’ve had many cats all my life & could tell he was not 3 years old & that was confirmed when I took him to our vet. They determined he was 6-9 months old. Anyway….he’s great & has become my daughters best friend. I would adopt from here again.
