I cannot express the gratitude and thankfulness I have for Lemon Bay Animal Hospital. I have been to various vets/boarding kennels and I HIGHLY recommend them. Yesterday, my husband and I brought Paige in due to an unfortunate circumstance. The manager was very prompt in getting me an appointment on the initial call. Dr .Morelli, your compassion for animals was so obvious and reassuring. Leann, you were very professional, caring, and generous. Thank you for all of your help, care, and concern for our 12 year old Afghan (still our baby girl). We appreciate everything you did. Dayna Johnson
I can’t believe I had to make this decision, but I authorized Dr Gurland to perform emergency surgery on my dog. The surgery will likely correct the problem and get him back to being himself again, but I was really nervous and worried. After Dr Gurland performed his operation and removed 18 inches of intestines from a miniture Dachshund it was very sketchy. I would like to reasure that Lemon Bay Vet and Dr Gurland whole staff is the absolute best. He is healthy 100Percent and it was all becauseof LEMON BAY VET. PS Do not give your dogs cooked bones of any kind!!!!!!!!!
My Lab, Charlie, had a surgery at Lemon Bay Animal Hospital which was pretty complex. The removal of a large fatty mass, on the inside of his hind leg, and then stitching him up so perfectly that he looks like he’s been to a plastic surgeon. His Dr, Dr Laura Morelli, did an outstanding job, and he has healed beautifully. It’s times like this, when I realize that we have made a great choice with this veterinary practice. Thank you Dr. Morelli!
While the vets are wonderful - trying to get an appointment or ask a question is virtually impossible; the folks that answer the phone are often unpleasant and apparently not happy to be there. I left a voicemail message on three recent occasions (December 8, December 15 and January 29) and never received a call back; once I was able to speak to someone in February, was told the first available appointment would be in April. But I could drop my two dogs off early in the morning and they would "work them in between appointments" then I could pick them up after 3:00 p.m. So my dogs would be crated all day? No thank you. LBAH has been our vet for about 6 years....but now we are going to a different vet. Makes me sad because the vets are awesome - but I just cannot deal with the front office issues any longer.
I first started using Lemon Bay Animal Hospital when it was on the corner of 776 and Pine Street. We adopted a little black cat in 2001, and she passed away in 2021. They kept her kidneys in check the last few years through diet and monitoring. She hated all of the workers, but she was an amazing cat. Now that the kids are gone, we have adopted 2 more black cats. One of them hid in her carrier, and the other one figured she'd be safe hiding behind dad... she was wrong. They both hate everyone at the clinic, too.
They never answer the phone. Then you leave a message and they never call you back. Will never go back. They were my vet so i thought. We called and left message on a Tuesday for my dog having a issue still no call back days later. Ended up calling a vet further down 776 and they answered the phone got me in less then a hour later. So you blame the phones, DID you have phone problems a year ago when we had to call 3 times to get someone to call us back?? You never answer and we will never be back.
