My new puppy was spayed and microchipped. They did a great job and she came out to greet me with a happy dance! I was very impressed with how thorough they were with her discharge instructions and medication. I would definitely bring my dog here again!
I had a dog attack another dog while I was dog sitting. The dog had severe injuries. The staff took great care of the dog. She recoverd very well. They called and followed up. Id bring my own pets there if needed.
The vet is excellent. However, the lack of communication, the fact that it took 6 months to get my animal’s records from them, no one ever returns calls, no one ever answers the phone, and the passive aggressive nature of Dr Forster negates anything good about this clinic. In addition, they held a foster cat hostage rather than sending him home after his tooth extractions and never bothered to tell me is just abhorrent. They are just not worth the trouble as these issues have been perpetual since they opened 4 years ago. Her heart is in the right place as she wants to help animals but don’t waste your time.
Unfortunately the first time I visited Pet Care Coalition was the time I had to say goodbye-bye to my 21 yo cat Jack, my pet I got as a child and had seen me into adulthood. I had made an appointment for a Wednesday to get him checked out for some breathing issues- but the Tuesday before the appointment it had worsened and they were incredibly kind to call me when they had an earlier opening for me to bring him in. Jack had many pre existing health issues. That mixed with his age, I knew the outcome of the visit may not end favorably, but like all pet parents I had hope. Unfortunately, the sickness was too much and although there were a few option that the vet presented, none would ultimately ease his pain and I had to make the hard decision to say good-bye. Through that process however, from scheduling and bringing him in to saying goodbye, this clinic was so kind and gracious and understanding and made one of the hardest moments so much easier. They quickly took him back to get him on oxygen to help with his breathing while he waited for Dr. Forester to be available. And although they were able to quickly discover that Jack's sickness was too advanced Dr.Forester approached the bad news in such a manner that truly made me feel line she, and the others, felt the sadness and loss that I was just about to go through. They provided choices for me through the entire process, never making me feel like I only had one option and each option given truly was to make my experience of grief on my terms. Like many of the other reviews said Dr. Forester - and the vet tech as well (I'm so sorry I didn't catch her name) got on the floor when meeting Jack but also when saying good-bye. She sat with us through the moment, listened to our stories of my beloved kitty and even recited a beautiful quote from her days in school. Truly, although my heart breaks thinking about it, the experiance Pet Care Coalition gave me was as good as it could have been for the situation. If I were to get another fur baby I would 100% come back.
As someone who knows these folks both as an acquaintance through my past veterinary work and also as a client there with 2 dogs & 1 cat, I know this is a group of skilled angels. The need for low-cost veterinary care in the Denver metro area is astounding, so they can only do what they can do, and they do it with a lot of heart and straightforwardness. The doctor who heads it is a truly great person. In addition to the long hours the staff put in each week in Aurora, they also spend weeks of time each year helping Rez Dawg with hundreds of dogs and cats who need vaccines, spays/neuters, etc on native reservations in our area. If you're looking for a great place to donate, I highly recommend them too.
I can’t say enough good things about PCC, Dr. Forester and the rest of the staff! I have a 13-year old chihuahua with several medical issues that were getting extremely expensive to treat and found out about PCC through a friend. The first time I took my fur baby Oso, Dr. Forester spent more time with him than ANY vet had EVER spent with him, giving him the most thorough examination he had ever received and reviewed every medication he was on. She had no problem treating a skin condition a previous vet I had taken him to could not. Unfortunately, my furr babies health continued to decline recently and we had to make the hardest decision any pet owner has to make to let him go. Dr. Forester was so patient and kind helping me talk through this decision. When the day came, she and the staff offered the option to do the procedure outside under a tree, which was so much less stressful for Oso, and us. They were so kind and patient with us through it all. I can’t thank PCC, the staff and ESPECIALLY Dr. Forester for all you have done. Oso has been to so many vets and specialists over the years and you truly were the best! I will be forever grateful!
