This vet is literally trying to rob me blind. I brought my cat in two weeks ago because he was attacked outdoors, they stitched his belly incision up and put him in a cone, charged me $900, and sent us on our way. Unfortunately because he likes to go outside he ran the front door a few days later and I caught his tail on the door, I rushed him in to have his tail looked at, they then charged me another $700 to stitch his tail skin up. Fast forward one week, I’ve just had spinal surgery and my mother takes him in for a check up on his tail bandage, that mind you fell off 24 hours after being seen, so I had to bandage him up again 3 more times before this bandage check. They then decide at this appointment to remove his stitches on his belly 4 days early without my consent, and they sent him home with no bandage over his stitches. 20 min home and he’s already started tearing out the stitches on his tail…so I bandage it up myself to keep him from tearing every stitch off…. He then goes in 2 days later because his belly has now opened up from them removing his stitches too early…another rushed trip in for them to staple his stomach closed and, get this, bandage his tail…. After they removed his bandage in the first place… fast forward to a few days later when he’s supposed to go in for stitch removal on his tail… all of a sudden he now has an infection on his tail…. Well why didn’t we catch this when he was there a few days ago? And of course it would get infected, you left it open for him to gnaw on until I could get it bandaged. All said and done they’ve now conned me out of close to $1700 and who knows what other nonsense they will want to charge for next week! The staff was absolutely rude and condescending to both myself on the phone and my partner who took him in for the appointment, because I’m trying to recover from spinal surgery. I’ve been going here for years and never had a problem, right now I’m absolutely livid and would say avoid this place like the plague it seems to be becoming lately. I’ll update if any sort of attempts to correct this are made but right now I feel like they’re using hurt animals to make a quick buck and it’s so disheartening to know that they’re in it for profit and not for just doing the right thing, caring for animals and making it right when they drop the ball. Because they have in fact dropped the ball here in a major way.
I called an advance before going to this vet to see if they could scan my grandson's dog for a chip. I told them that I was handicapped and that I would not be able to bring the dog in and asked if they could possibly come out to my vehicle to check her. They told me no problem, so I took her in and called them. But they weren't answering the phone so I went down to tell them that I was there and the person at the desk said I have to get somebody to scan her. Then the vet came out and was very perturbed that I was coming in without an appointment. Again I was told when I called the first time if they would do it no problem. Then she tells me that I need to have an appointment just to have my grandson's dog checked for a chip. FYI I went across the Seven Hills across Tower road. They came out no issues. Didn't ask about appointments or anything just came out scanned the dog and all was good. I will never go to Animal Care center of Aurora in the Seven Hills Plaza.
I’ve been using animal care center of Aurora for two years. The only complaint I have is it’s hard to reach them sometimes but I am very happy besides that. I have two cats and two dogs and they always take great care of them (we have had spaying, heart worm treatment for our rescue, behavioral issues that were discussed, and normal preventative care). They ALWAYS ask before doing treatments and tell you the price which is so helpful and I really appreciate the transparency. All vets there have been knowledgeable and even with many leaving they have never disappointed me. The vet techs are amazing and very helpful. The whole clinic adores my pets and they are very kind in their care. I suggest this clinic to all my friends who are around the area.
All the employees were nice. My cat was stressed out after the visit, but Im not holding that against them. Blood work was $125.00. I don't know how I feel about it, but they say my cat is healthy.
I’ve brought my cats here several times and they seem knowledgeable and are mostly professional. The prices are fair. None of them seem like they like cats though, including the techs and vets. One of the techs even told me that he’s scared of cats? I’m sorry but you can’t work in the vet field and only be a dog person.
They always take care of my pups one of my dogs smiles and they made sure his profile says "he smiles but isn't aggressive" which I appreciate because a lot of people think he's aggressive because of his smile. They went so far to have a picture of him smiling.
