We have been coming to Noah's Ark for seven years now. We've always had great services and visits. This last visit for us was not expected. Something drastically changed with my fur baby, so we took her in to be examined. While we pursued treatment for a few days, my fur baby's body was fighting against our attempts, and we had to make the humane decision to assist her in crossing over the rainbow bridge. Doctor Amber has always been pleasant and she was so kind during this difficult time for us. Her bedside manner and the way she talked with us was very considerate, empathetic, and very much appreciated.
If you’re looking for a vet, this is the place! As far as my experience, it wasn’t the greatest…but that was NOT due to the staff. I brought my dog in for an emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction; after a lengthy surgery…he succumbed a few hours later. My buddy was in very bad shape and it happened very fast. Dr. Holly did everything she could and much more. I won’t get into detail of the “extra” she did…but it will never be forgotten and very very appreciated. Appreciated beyond measure. I no longer have my “Loaf”…but I have a vet that when the time comes for another dog, they will have my business for as long as I live in Missouri. I highly recommend Noah’s Arc and the staff there! Absolutely amazing people who actually care and are NOT out for the money like others out here. They care…they care probably more than they should. To the staff and to Dr. Holly, I thank you greatly for all you have done. I appreciate you all and the work you do. Your hearts are absolutely great! Again, Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Hadn’t been to them in a few years. First off the remodel is so nice. Lots of room. We met Dr Amber she was fantastic with our two dogs. Glad we decided to return to Noah’s Ark.
Took my cat here to get her anal glands done last week as they had been really hurting her, and I was worried about infection. I had asked if I could go back with her while they did it, and they said no because of insurance purposes. Which, alright I guess. So I just sat anxiously, and I could hear her screaming which was very stressful. They then sent a front desk person I think? To just give her back and couldn't awnser any of my questions. I had wanted to know if there was signs of infection or if the amount that came out was worrisome. all I got was ( stuff came out) and nothing was noted. I know anal gland issues isn't common in cats and details on color/quantity of what comes out can help determine a cause. Anyways , it was only 15$ so I guess you get what you pay for. I then had to call back to request dewormer. Process was easy enough, or so I thought. When I got home I had realized that the dosage seemed kind of low, so I called to ask what they had on file for her weight. They still had 7lbs from when I brought her in at around 6 months old. She is now about a year old. I had weighed her myself while waiting before they took her back during her anal gland visit just out of curiosity and she was at 9.4 lbs. so she needed an extra dose so I had to drive all the way back and pick it up. Gas isn't cheap, and I had gotten all the way home before I realized. Trying to get them to fix the weight in the system was like pulling teeth. I still don't think they actually changed it. They wouldn't acknowledge me. The lady was typing as if there was ants under the keys and wanted them all dead. The atmosphere was super tense and unfriendly. Not to mention, the 2 times I've gone in recently they seem understaffed and clueless. The meds they had given me were in a small paper envelope , one of which had been left open and only looked like it was closed. I got lucky it didn't fall out. Maybe it's just the front desk staff that are the issue, I don't know. The one lady " helping" me while killing ants gave off hostile vibes and kept angrily muttering things to the girl next to her. I'm currently searching for a vets office with competent staff who don't disregard people who are concerned about their pets health.
They made euthanizing our old girls experience as stress free as possible and they were extremely compassionate during the process. They also give you as much time as you need to just be in the room and say goodbye. I appreciate these people.
They have been in my dogs life the whole 12yrs i had her. If I ever get another pet Noah Ark will be my vet. Even though I had to let my dog go and it was hard they made it a calming comfortable and as peaceful place for her take her last breath. 🩷
