I have never had a worse experience with any facility in my life. My dog got loose for less than 10 minutes and was picked up by animal control and taken here. The owners were incredibly rude and refused to let me see my dog - even with vaccination records from his vet, ESA paperwork, and over 400 pictures on my phone. My vet called the shelter and told them that this is my dog and to release him to me and the owners demanded updated pictures from the vet of my dog featuring his eyebrows. My vet told them they do not take a picture of every animal they see on individual appointments. The owner told me I was lying about him being my dog. They continued to say "We believe you BELIEVE this is your dog." They threatened to get the police involved because I did not have sufficient proof. When I told them I was confused and was trying to understand what was happening, the wife/co-owner kicked me out of the building. The pictures I have on my phone did not match the pictures they had taken/posted on Facebook because "his eyebrows don't look the same." I have had this dog since he was eight weeks old and I shared with the owners that it wouldn't make sense for me to get authorities involved for a dog that wasn't mine. We eventually did get the police involved and he was released back to me within minutes, as it was clearly my dog. DO. NOT. GO. HERE. IF. YOU. CAN. AVOID. IT!!!!!

Would give them 5 stars but the place smelled so horrible. They had people walking the dogs but in dire need of cleaning. We almost felt ill when we left.

The experience was great at first, we had lots of help. We found the perfect dog and we went to the meeting room and met the dog, the dog warmed up to us and everything. We decided to get the dog so we went up front to ask questions and fill out paper work. The dog had some medical conditions so the guy at the front desk had the medical lady go over the medical information, she started to tell us what was wrong but it seemed as if she was trying to scare us off she even showed us pictures of how the dog looked when found. She stated that she doesn’t normally share pictures but we were the exception. By the time we filled out the paper work and turned it in we asked if we could take the dog to our own vet’ (Turner Vet Clinic), a vet we trust and the lady made it seem like a big deal, stating that it was fishy and suspicious, but we explained that we have been going to this vet for some time and he is very good at what he does. They explained that the vet they go through was covered under the payment for the dog but we are willing to pay for our own vet service, they then told us we would have to wait to adopt the dog because of the question we asked about our own vet, the lady was unprofessional and very biased to the dog, it seemed that she was scaring us off by her actions and she stated that she wanted him herself. They said the “owner” would give us a call to make sure that we are an ok fit…

brought my sweet baby boy here to be signed off for adoption because I didn't have the proper home for him with me ( there's a big back story ) He was 13 and deaf, but perfectly healthy. They put him down the day I signed off on him because they said he wouldn't have made it through the day. that is a pure lie. He was healthy. He was fine. That was my mom's dog, she passed away when I was 14, and for them to do that, just.. ugh. Do not bring your pets or any you find to this location. They will not care for them. I did not " refuse to pick him up" I could not get to him. And tell me when days after he got there, when I was able to show up, as soon as he seen me he was jumping and howling out of joy? I know that woman seen the life in his eyes. He was perfectly healthy. Sad place full of sad people. I hope people see what kind of establishment you are. Truly I do.

We just adopted our beautiful dog from here and our experience was nothing BUT POSITIVE! Our dog was healthy inside and out...VERY well cared for. As far as any negitive comments I have seen regarding this organization here is my takeaway.... I do believe this non profit could benefit from a fundraiser and donations of $ to support these VERY caring people...the money could help them create spaces that are updated and pet friendly ! BUT that is financial due to their non profit status versus a lack of desire! Fundraiser anyone? Day of Caring location? Amazing non profit!!!
