I can't recommend SoMa Animal Hospital enough! We've been taking our 2 cats here for 2 years and have had a consistently great experience. One of our cats is really anxious, but vet visits here are so much easier than they have been at previous vets because the staff and vets are so gentle and patient with him. The team is super communicative, scheduling is always really easy, and pricing is transparent. Dr. Crawford is a fantastic vet - he takes our concerns really seriously, is very careful and thorough with his exams and testing, and explains his thought process thoroughly when it comes to treatments and diagnoses.

Dr. Wood and Dr. Johnston are both so wonderful. The nurses and staff are very kind and gentle with our pets. We take our two bunnies and our cat here. They are extremely up front about costs, responsive, knowledgable, and caring towards our pets. Ive never felt forced into a treatment, and ive seen both Dr’s stop a treatment if my pet was not responding well. Our pets are our fur babies and i only trust my pets with the best. I do recommend!

Clean, caring, efficient!! Dr. Crawford and all the staff members have been incredibly understanding and generous with my kitties. One of my cats emptied his bowel into his carrier on the way to the hospital, and he was covered in feces. The staff was very patient and understanding with the situation. Super caring and professional! Street parking along the road (metered parking) has been pretty easy to get. Make sure to get there 10 mins early in case you need to wait for a spot to clear.

Terrible experience with the pharmacy and clinic staff. They refused to refill a preventative prescription despite us not being due for a visit for another 3 months. They told us we had to come in now. Seems it’s all about the money and not your pet’s health. Asked the manager Raven to reach out to us, it took over a month for her to do it. She offered no solution or apology for the situation.

I’ve brought my dog here since he was 8 weeks. On my first visit as a first time dog owner, Dr Wood spent a lot of time answering all of my questions and making me and Bear feel comfortable. The doctors, nurses, and receptionists have been so caring for us ever since. They take time on the phone to check with the doctors when we have issues as well as scheduling us in when necessary. I don’t know any other vet but after reading the reviews, I seem to have gotten lucky.

So glad to have SoMa Animal Hospital in the neighborhood. Excellent service at every interaction. From making the appointment to arrival to post surgery pickup, everyone was extra courteous and showed love to my two whippets. Large, clean, bright space. Highly recommend.
