The whole adoption process for a first-timer with a very positive and encouraging. I do believe they do an awesome job. Thank you SPCA.
The lady at the booth was extremely rude to me, for no reason when all I was trying to do was make a donation to the organization. I hope this was an isolated case, because I love the organization.
The organization's instagram bio says "dedicated to saving and caring for cats and dogs" and thats absolutely true. If I can donate my kidney as a way to say thank you to this organization, I would. Yes they save your pets lives. Yes they provide the best care for your pets. Yes they are very knowledgeable when dealing with your pets sickness or whatever concern but what you dont know and what they dont market is how their staff treats you with the utmost compassion and kindness. When my cat was rushed due to medical emergency, I was inconsolable and was a complete mess and instead of looking at me and treating me like a nuisance, everyone was nothing but very understanding. This is true and consistent from talking to Mari over the phone, to Genevieve our nurse, to Dr. Zarday and all the way to our post op nurse (So sorry I forgot her name. She had black frame glasses with tattoos. Shes been with spca for 5-6years and she has cats too!). We are very grateful to them for saving Iggy and getting him out of pain and for the absolute best care he received. My husband shared that during Iggy's check out, I was talking and looking at Dr. Zarday teary eyed as if I see an angel and I responded... ''Maybe I do see an angel, maybe she's really an angel.'' Thank you for everything you guys do. Everyday you wake up, you should look at yourself in the mirror and be super freaking proud of yourselves. To everyone reading this, sf spca is a great organization to support if you havent yet and if you do already, thank you, truly. You dont market compassion and kindness, it unfolds naturally.
They are "no kill shelter" because they only take animals that are "adoptable"
Everything was professional
