Awesome, working hard to find loving safe homes for all their animals. We had the pleasure of taking our loving Sassy 6 year old cat from there.
Went up there today and met a dog that I absolutely fell in love with instantly. Asked if I could go get my boyfriend’s dog and bring him up there so that they could meet and I was told yes. Even though they will be in completely different households, I wanted them to be able to get along and be friends. Even though my boyfriend’s dog that lives in a completely different house and came up there with me, they would not let me adopt the dog because my boyfriend’s in a DIFFERENT HOME wasn’t neutered. I could understand if they would be in the same house, Or if it was a female that wasn’t spayed, But I don’t think it should matter if it’s two male dogs living in completely different homes. Wasted my time and got my hopes up for no reason. Now a dog is still sitting in the shelter that could’ve went to a loving home. Wouldn’t have even got excited about giving this dog a loving home instead of living in a nasty cement kennel or made a second trip up there if I knew they weren’t going to ask the proper questions beforehand and waste my time.
Called for information about my dog I surrendered, trying to see if she's still there because I would like to get her back now that I'm out of an apartment and in my own home. Lady answers, tells me she's been transferred "Up North with one of our partners" When I asked if she could tell me which shelter she was moved to she refused, because QUOTE "I don't have the time for it, to dig up all that paperwork." They were very easy to take her in but have zero empathy or compassion for someone who just wants their doggo back, all I wanted to know was what shelter she was moved to so I can see if she hasn't been adopted yet. The fact that this lady wouldn't take even one hour of her time to look around and find out where she was transported to (it is in their database/paper files somewhere) is disgusting and disgraceful.
I had to give up my companion and this team is amazing. They helped me through every step of the process and took such tender care. I plan to give much support them as I can. They are doing wonderful work
The team of workers and volunteers at this facility are dedicated to the helping with the plight facing homeless pets. If you can volunteer a little of your time for this group of people and animals, you will leave with the feeling of accomplishment.. Please consider donating your time, talent or resources to this worthy community cause..I do!!
Adopted a cat with this shelter through Pet Smart on 04/21/2024. Turns out the cat was already sick when I took her home. I only had her for FOUR days and I had to take her to vet. Her spay site is infected with a huge abscess and now she may need surgery. I only had this cat for TWO weeks and she needs surgery!!! Wasted money and time. Obviously this shelter doesn’t check the health of their animals before giving them away.Absolutely ridiculous bd frustrating. Would NOT recommend!!
