They are very much a kill shelter. I brought my rescue back this week because she was presenting aggression towards others after the meds they sent me home with ran out. She had high anxiety but was also a lovable baby. I sent her back for a chance at rehabilitation and even volunteered my time to help with it. I brought her back because I “thought” she would have a chance at life and I trusted them to do right by her. They gave her only four days before they decided to stick her with a needle. Stay away from here. They are either incompetent or sociopathic. Either way, my little girl deserved and was promised better.
This is a beautifully organized and well staffed humane society. You are allowed to come in and visit the animals here, and my friend and I spent about an hour visiting. There was not a single resident that we did not love. It was a great experience, and I appreciate all the hard work the staff do to help all of these animals! 🥰🐶🐱
Absolutely the best , caring people and wonderful establishment. They performed a very expensive dental extraction for my little young cat who has stomatitis, an excruciating dental disease that cause inflammation and mouth ulcers. They did the procedure for nothing but from the kindness of their hearts and donations. She could barely eat watered down, wet food. After the surgery she has felt 100 % better and I’ve seen tremendous improvement. I donated as much as I could for their much appreciated, professional, medical services and I wish I could’ve donated so much more for the other suffering little ones out there who desperately need medical care. If you’re reading this, please kindly consider donating to Indy Humane. They walk the walk. All animals deserve access to proper medical care. ✨They are my Hero’s ! @Indy Humame
Living in Los Angeles and my pup being in Indy due to my work life balance. IndyHumane has been nothing but amazing with aiding in caring for my boy. Their support, communication, compassion and care has always gave me peace. I am grateful and thankful. He’s now 11 years old and healthy.
This is the first time I gave adopted from Indy Humane. I definitely would recommend this shelter. I personally worked with August, who was amazing. He answered all my questions and let me take my time with my choice. I took home this guy, who has become the ruler of the house very quickly. Everyone please meet Fred (used to be Casper). Thank you Indy Humane for helping me find my newest family member. UPDATE: Today is the one year anniversary of adopting Fred. It's been a great, amazing year. He is a very sweet and loving boy. I am so happy I adopted him. I still highly recommend Indy Humane for your adoption needs!
IndyHumane has always been a place I like to visit, so I decided to become a volunteer foster parent. I have so much appreciation and respect for the staff. They really put their hearts in the treatment of those animals, and it shows. I've adopted and will always adopt from IndyHumane.
