Description Sound Animal Rehabilitation and Fitness is Birmingham's only veterinary rehabilitation facility that specializes exclusively in rehabilitation (physical therapy) and fitness of dogs and cats. We offer underwater treadmill therapy (hydrotherapy), pre and post- surgical rehabilitation, geriatric fitness and mobility training, weight management programs, acute and chronic pain management, laser therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic and fitness exercise, wheelchair fittings/ordering and custom braces. Dr. Noël McKnight is certified in canine rehabilitation and is a certified Fear Free veterinarian. She and her team specialize in getting your pet back up on their feet and living their best life!

Dr. McKnight is a very special person who cares deeply for her patients and their caretakers. After Biscuit was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, we began weekly visits that include hydrotherapy and laser treatments. His leg was amputated soon after we started therapy, but we never missed an appointment. Everyone there is very professional and courteous, and I was surprised to learn that the prices at Sound Animal Rehab are affordable. Biscuit enjoys his visits and I appreciate how attentive Dr. McKnight and her staff have been to us over the last year!
