Surrendered a stray cat and they were so rude and unprofessional, didn't seem to care about the cat at all but they were so nice to the guy who paid them for something and I even donated food but the woman completely ignored me. If I had known it would have been like that I would have driven an hour just to go to Jasper to surrender her because at least then I'd know she'd be cared for, these people will treat you like trash if you don't give them money. Wish I could give 0 stars, I don't recommend.

There’s some amazing people here with amazing hearts. However their receptionists and people who work the desk lack compassion. The HEROES in charge of intake have hearts of gold. Thank you for what you did for Tony.

Hopefully the animal control officers were FIRED for taking someone’s cat off of their porch . Disgusting and cruel behavior . Lured someone’s cat and took it to a HIGH KILL SHELTER . SCREW YALL!

PSA READ : On March 18 2024 around 9:30pm my 13 year old Akita Miko accidentally got out of the gate , didn’t have a collar on at the time couldn’t find him so late at night so next day comes March 19th , we make sure and call a the shelters including this location, post very HEAVY on Facebook & groups, Ring doorbell app and go door to door looking for him. Still unable to find him that night this location was called to come get him as he was found in the next neighborhood on someone’s back porch within a couple hours of them finding him instead of letting his family know they took it upon themselves to euthanize him/Miko. No 7 day hold , no call , no nothing just killed him. We call the next day March 20, we call them again to see if he was found then was informed of the news that they decided to euthanize him within hours of finding him the night before, the lady who talked to me , had a extreme attitude her response to me was “ He shouldn’t have not had a collar on” no apology no excuse just straight rudeness and loudness this location knew he was being looked for and was called multiple times and the heartbreak and financial on our family because of it. People need to know this is no place for business. 👎👎👎👎👎👎

My dog was picked up off my property and taken to GBHS and when I picked him up he was covered in feces they refused to clean it off of him or allow me to clean him up they allowed him to be covered in feces for 2 days they had no idea we're my dog was and I had to walk through the entire facility before we found him looking at the other animals there it is clear they are not being taken care of the way that they should be they should be ashamed of themselves

I would leave a zero for Animal Control if I could because a pit bull mix has been at my house (The first day it charged me but MY fenced in yard stopped it) and we called animals control. And now we have every day for 2 1/2 weeks and emailed because this poor dog is living in the Drainage ditch owned by Jefferson County but located in front of my house and my gate and driveway and after at first having to delay my home health IV treatments now the poor dog is dying IN THE DITCH. It is blind in one eye and not strong enough to get out of the ditch. Then Yesterday after trying to get someone out here for 2 1/2 weeks my husband was told WE could rent a cage from them and when WE caught the dog they would come get it. WHAT are they doing with their time when they want 2 senior citizens to RENT a cage and trap a dog in a deep ditch and then let them swing by and pick it up. YOU WOULDN'T COME TO CATCH THE DOG WHY WOULD WE THINK YOU WOULD COME PICK IT UP? SHAME ON YOU and when in the heck did people start having to RENT a cage to trap someone elses dog?
