Adopted this little girl last week. She is so sweet! It took her two days to come out of her shell, but now she feels right at home. Staff was super helpful. The process was quick and simple and they even gave me a certificate for a free first check up at my local vet!
This is a kill shelter. They do not put down animals just for suffering. They do not give animals who are traumatized or scared a chance. They put down a healthy, 2 year old, shy, and sweet dog my friends and I rescued at a gas station. We were told before handing her over she would not be euthanized unless in extreme circumstances. We told them to call us if she was going to get euthanized so we could try and get her out (we contacted 25+ rescues, none of us were permitted to keep a dog in our housing since we are students). They did not call us and they put her down two days ago. DO NOT SURRENDER ANY animals here.
This shelter is phenomenal! They take such great care of these animals. I adopted my little best friend from here a year ago and couldn’t be happier. I’m sad to see low ratings simply because entitled people are surprised they need an appointment. Please support this shelter if you’re looking to adopt!
Adopted this little guy and he's the sweetest kitten EVER! The staff at the shelter was very helpful and provided his vet checkup and shots, and he's very healthy and happy. Only $138 was very reasonable.
A wild duck kept showing up at my work it had fishing line wrapped around both its feet and could hardly walk and couldn't forage for its own food. I called Animal Control when they finally did show up they encouraged me to try and catch the duck which I couldn't. The fishing line was so tight around the duck's feet it was cutting into its skin and they still will not help me with this wild duck. The Ducks health is getting worse and worse. If I did anything to endanger a duck you bet they would be on my case about it but I'm trying to help this duck and they seem to not care. I feel very sad about the condition of this duck and the lack of competence by Animal Control in caring for sick wildlife.
Update: Moose is still living the good life with us and a really happy well trained boy! We are so thankful to have adopted this 86 pound sweet dog from the OC Shelter in Tustin! We named him Moose (Bernard was his adoption name, but Moose fits him better.) After a few months of trial and error (accidents and chewing things up) we are happy to say Moose has developed into a loyal, gentle, potty trained, loving fun puppy that now chews on bones and toys only. He is learning to sit, stay and shake his paw. ♥️ Besides being hilarious, Moose loves our other Dog Dorthy (a Belgian Malinois) to pieces. They are the best of buds. Moose has been to the vet and groomer so now he is super healthy and groomed to look like a cute hunk. :) We really got a great dog!!♥️
