Alright, so all my life I've wanted a cat to love! I finally am 22 y/o with my own apartment and after a few months of living here with my S.O. I was finally ready to adopt a cat. I knew I wanted to adopt but I didn't know where to start. I tried to adopt from two other places but the foster parents continually withheld the cat telling me they forgot to "take the listing down" it felt like a dead end- till my co-worker told me about St. Charles Pet Adoption Center. This is basically the best place to go ever. WOW! When I walked in I was greeted by friendly faces who told me to look at the pets and see if I wanted them. Me and my S.O. looked at a few pets and met with them in the interactive play room. When we were done we got to adopt the cat we wanted THE SAME DAY. It's been two days now and I have got to say I LOVE MY KITTY!!!!! His name is Jasper, he is 3 years old, and he is the best cat ever. He has abandonment issues and anxiety, but overall Jasper is the bees knees. The minute I took him out the cage he explored the whole apartment and even USED THE LITTERBOX WITHIN 5 MINUTES! The people here were so kind to send me home with medication for Jasper and gave me a tag and GREAT resources. They are the best ever! They made me feel very welcome and apart of the adoption process. :) I am happy I adopted from the pet adoption center... definitely worth getting a cat here if you're looking for one. Me and my cat are forever bonded, and Jasper has found his forever home with me. :) <3 edit: I also wanted to add the adoption fee was about 60 dollars and Jasper came neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated, I was given medication, a tag, and they let me grab a few toys for him. Wonderful people and resources!

I've checked several shelters and found my forever fur baby here. Staff were great to work with. Look at the before picture of her coming home with us and the after picture of Reba when she realizes she has a forever loving home. Love does matter.

19 years ago my family adopted our first pet, a cat I named Shelby. I can't express in so many words how much I appreciate the facility and staff that gave me my best friend. Although I wasn't able to be with her in her final moments, I hope to return there someday to thank them in person.

We adopted Morticia..she's so sweet..and the people that work there are reasonable..I can understand when they question people .or when they ..let's say it this way..they work there ..see animals in God what kind of shape..they see what people are capable of..they want what's best for the animals..they don't work in customer service there ..they don't sell a pair of shoes ..this is a high stress job mentally ..and I think they doing great..when u work with people and always surrounded by animals that are either abused neglected or abandoned..you become a little reserved and careful towards people..because they love the animals and ONLY WANT WHATS BEST FOE THEM...
