Easy to schedule a visit, great reminders, the staff were friendly and very patient and affectionate with my cat. Dr Cody made me feel safe and heard. No fear tactics or upselling. I'm trilled to have a good vet for my little cat.
The best experience EVER, EVER, EVER!! I am so happy I found Dr. Cody!! He was excellent with my cat Seamus! His staff is incredible! He was thorough and didn’t suggest a bunch of test, he addressed all my issue. Super professional, compassionate and friendly! I love Dr. Cody and his staff!! He will be my cats forever doctor!
This is truly one of the best vets I have visited in such a long time. I was beginning to feel like I wanted to give up on finding a vet for my cat. I visited 4 vets in the last 5-6 years and always walked away feeling stressed, nervous, upset or scammed. But I'm so happy and relieved to have found the Cat Doctor. Dr. Cody and the staff are communicative and honest. They're so good at following up. I never once felt uneasy about my cat's care. I knew my cat was in such wonderful care based on how thorough and attentive the entire staff was. They provide comprehensive and AFFORDABLE services. I'm FINALLY relieved that my cat has a vet that I'm happy to go to!! Thanks Dr.Cody and team!!
If anyone is looking for the absolute best and most caring, compassionate and extremely competently professionally skilled veterinarian in Ventura county then THE CAT DOCTOR is the only veterinarian with which you should In trust your pet. This veterinarian and staff sits the competence bar for professional and compassionate care far beyond the reach of any other veterinarian facility in Ventura and surrounding counties. In addition THE CAT DOCTOR sacrifices well deserved high costs of care for EXTREMELY low compassionate fees for such high quality professional service. The only reason that I can see for this quality of service from this highly qualified and trained veterinarian at these sacrificial fees is due to a pure heart felt love for animals and especially cats.
I have been bringing my Himalayan, Portia, here for 10 years. Almost two months ago I called because I noticed blood in Portia's urine, something I had gone to The Cat Doctor prior for and Portia had surgery for at this same location. Their response was, "We can't see her until next Thursday, you might want to call another vet." Portia died later that day. This was an emergency, Portia had only gone to this vet her entire life, and they had her entire medical history. The disappointment I felt in their lack of concern or care for Portia was not only alarming but it broke my heart. I urge every cat owner to use caution when using this vet and take my personal experience into consideration before coming here as they do not seem to genuinely care for our precious little ones.
I called my regular Vet/ER at 11am to see if I could bring in my cat. I also called two other emergency vet hospitals and a backup vet to see if I could bring my cat in for a possible UTI. The regular Vet/ER's were unable to to see any animals as they were without an emergency vet on duty. They gave me the name of another VET ER. Called them, they had an 8 hour backup of patients and referred me to the vet I had just called. Long story short, called "The Cat Doctor" on a chance. Christine answered, heard my problem, took my number and said I'll call u right back, I'll check with the Doctor and see if he can make a spot to see the cat. They were booked a week out. Christine made it happen, we got Jon Doe in, and they treated him with great care! tTurns out he has become diabetic. So grateful to Doc Cody and the entire staff! They went above and beyond!
