You and your pet feels comfortable and confident that whatever it is you brought your pet for… it’s ok, and your pet is safe. Keep up the good work! You have my 💯 support.
This was the BEST experience for me and Cinnamon. Dr. Crandle was informative and warm. She answered all my questions and educated me on new things. The receptionist during check in/out was very helpful and welcoming. This is where Cinnamon will be going for all her care
I’m finally making this review now. In 2022 we woke up to find a rescued 3 month old cat cold and taking a breath every 10 seconds. We raced down the hwy as this was the only vet open on a Sunday. As soon as we get there and run thru the door with tears in our eyes they look at us as if we are in the self checkout at Walmart. As we are telling them the story as quickly as we can they just hand us a clipboard and say fill this out and give it back when you are done. We tried over and over to explain to them the urgency but they just said yeaaa sorry let us know when you have that filled out. After 15 min or so they come and finally take the cat and remind us to make sure we fill out the clipboard. Within minutes they said that there was nothing they could do and then became focused once again us filling out the clipboard. We gave them as little information as we could but still received a massive bill in our mailbox. I threatened them with a message just like this and they dropped the bill but after reading more reviews about this place it’s about time I told my story as well. Just remember this is a FOR PROFIT building and that seems to be their main concern. They treated us like we brought in a broken iPad.
I have been going to SFAH for a few years and I am so grateful I found them! Dr Cheeks has taken wonderful care of my "gaba kitty" and guinea pigs and I couldn't ask for a better vet for them! Dr Berkshire has been an angel helping me do TNR and all surgeries have gone beautifully. All of the staff there is incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They may cost a bit more than other clinics but it is worth it for the care I know my guys receive. I trust them completely with my animals.
Bottom Line: best vet clinic I've ever been to! I originally started coming to SFAH because when I moved to the area a year ago it was where several other military friends recommended care. Not only have not been disappointed with care, but downright love it. My one dog loves coming to the vet because it's a gentle, calm environment. While my other dog still gets scared, the vet teams see her anxiety and work to meet her hallway; one day I came in for a blood draw and the 2 techs came into the courtyard to do it because it was quieter and I could be there (instead of going to the care area). That was so amazing of them! Facility: the facility is very nice! There's a large, accessible restroom in the front of the office, and plenty of seats in a spread out waiting room. Each of the exam rooms is always clean. Vet Docs: I've seen 3 of the docs and all of them are - of course - professionals and incredibly knowledgeable. They are also wonderful teachers, sharing their knowledge with me as the pet owner and always patiently explain what a situation and how to proceed with care for my dogs. I am *always* given printed care instructions on the way out of an appointment. Accessible: this clinic is incredibly accessible! They use this app called 'PetDesk' where you can schedule appointments, order Rx refills, and even text questions - I LOVE IT. Also, anything you text goes into your pet's patient file, so the vet team can reference this information whenever you come for an appointment. Oh, also, thus service isn't cost free for you as a client - you can use the app or texting as much as you want and there's no charge! I feel so empowered and informed in monitoring my dog's health now. Cost : it's true that this clinic is more expensive than other one's Ive been to, but honesty it's because - IMO- that the care, accessibility, emotional caring, and work of the employees there both costs money and deserves a good wage. Donations: also, they take pet supply donations! I think this is wonderful so then if I end up with extra supplies that don't fit / work for my dog, then I have a place to bring them to be used and loved. Overall: if you live in the Augusta (or Fort Eisenhower) area, strongly recommend these folks for petcare.
First time at this vet and everything was great!! I have a large dog who had to wear a muzzle (she is not a people person) but when Jason came in she immediately bonded with him I couldn't believe it. Dr. Cheeks is great as well. I highly recommend this vet.
