This place is fantastic. We have two different types of dogs and have taken them there both. Our big puppy is crazy and active, while our small puppy is chill and relaxed. With our big dog, they were able to calm him down, give him treats, treat him as their own, and actually take care of him very well. With our small dog we came last minute because she was feeling very sick. We really appreciated them staying until later and finding out what she had. They treated her as a princess. They are not only good with dogs and try to give the best experience for them but they are really good with the owners and understand how important they are for us. They called us the next day to assure that our puppy was feeling better and to see if we had any questions with the medication. Moving forward this is our new vet and we would recommend anyone to come here. Thanks to all of the staff for being there for us!
Had a client take their new kitten to this location yesterday and she was wildly misdiagnosed. The kitten had an irritated eye and was told it most likely had herpes. She was also told the kitten possibly had a murmur but it was hard to tell though with the loud purring. So naturally my client called me hysterical. I took the kitten back and brought her to my vet that evening and it seemed the kitten had a small eyelash curled under that was scratching her eyeball and actually making the nose run on that side also . Plucked the eyelash and checked the heart.... No murmur. Went home. Kitten was also given an appetite stimulant by you guys because it wasn't eating it's dry food. She was eating wet like a champ though. Alot of kittens don't eat dry especially when teething. They don't need an appetite stimulant as that will not entice them to eat dry food. I have been breeding Sphynx for 20 years. I use the VCA in Hollywood for all our emergency care without a problem but this was a ton of stress on my client for no reason. Sphynx are known to get eyelashes that curl under like that and it causes irritation to the eye. They are hairless but grow a random lash or 2 even a whisker here and there. Cats can also have watery eyes that is not caused by herpes. You need to not throw that word around unless there is solid basis. And if you do throw that diagnosis out there you need to explain herpes virus for what it is and not make it sound like a death sentence. Most cats show mild to no symptoms of it anyways. And let's face it almost all cats are exposed to it. So how about we do better with explaining it And if you can't actually get a good listen of the heart, please don't mention murmurs. I took this beautiful photo of her this AM. Eye is perfect after her eyelash was plucked
Dr. Perez and Jennifer are amazing. I had an emergency with my dog and wanted to bring her here, which is her usual vet. They presented all the options, including emergency hospitals with different testing that aligned with my dogs issue, before even entering the office. They made time for our visit and explained everything thoroughly. Not to mention all the love my dog was getting from the staff made us feel so welcome. Amazing team who truly care about your pet!! Will never go anywhere else
I took my border collie for grooming and it has been the best experience my dog has had so far and we have tried many grooming in Miami. So far this is the best. I recommend it 100%.
Had the first appt with Dr, Aguilar and Willder, Today. Hands down one of the best vets I’ve ever been too. They had separate cat areas so the cats aren’t anxious, and a special room for the cat exam. Dr Aguilar and vet tech Willder took their time and explained everything to me, and answered all my questions. At other vets I found myself being rushed, but at this VCA they took their time and made sure to give my cat specific care, and a long term treatment plan. I could really tell that they cared about my Pet, and definitely cared about me as a pet owner. They answered my questions and after the first appointment I knew I’d found my new vet. I highly recommend checking them out
I adopted a new cat and brought him in for a cold. Dr Wilbur easily treated him for that and also noticed he had postop staples still in place that needed to be removed. Even though he did not enjoy the removal, Dr Wilbur and staff made him very comfortable while removing a staple that was twisted (provided numbing, extra treats) and worked fast. Such an empathetic and knowledgeable doctor & the same goes for all staff. They repeatedly asked if I had any questions or concerns with my new cat. The building itself is in a great location & incredibly clean. Highly recommend taking your pets here for care!
