Description The SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare operates a boutique Thrift Store in the Mitchell Plaza in Aiken, SC that offers everything from pet care items and clothing, to jewelry, furniture and more. 100% of the revenue from every sale at the Thrift Store goes to the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare to help feed, treat, shelter and and find loving homes for the animals in our care. The management in this store needs to train their employees on how to conduct themselves. Saturday was busy and the cashiers seemed really annoyed. I go to checkout and I have two people checking me out and both of them are bombarding me with questions- I was buying a piece of furniture and they initally were offering other customers help to move furniture by calling the guys from the back but funny enough they don’t ask me if I need help moving the furniture they ask if I’ve brought help with me and I said no I need help. All while at the same time the associate ringing me up is asking me my number for points and I go to tap the screen and she slaps my hand away when I mistakenly cancelled the transaction. That’s when I had to raise my voice to them and say both of you are talking to me at the same time and that’s why this happened. The attitude and unprofessional service here has me doubting I’ll ever come back here.

The SPCA Albrecht Center Thrift Store is at the top of my list! Every visit is like a wonderful treasure hunt, from housewares to clothing. Plus, and most importantly, it benefits the fur babies in our community!

My husband and I have spent many dollars at this store, partly because we like thrift stores and partly because it supports SPCA. It would be nice if a certain staff member had better customer service skills. Yes, I get it, you’re ready to go home, I work too but would be fired if I treated my customers the same. “We have signs posted everywhere “ In other words, don’t ask me any questions!!!! I should have walked out but I found another staff member that was much nicer and even if I did ask questions, she was pleasant and made my shopping experience 5 stars!

Great place. Good prices and food is amazing. Wide selection of beers. Service is top notch. Set outside and enjoyed nice weather on memorial weekend.

Great little store with lots of hidden treasures to be discovered. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Will go again if I'm in the area!
