I had a dog in my home from this rescue. I was told that the trainer would keep the dog while I was on vacation. The trainer made up lies about me, saying that I wanted a dog park dog, and that I kept the dog tied up outside. None of this was remotely true (the dog had never been outside without me), but the rescue had no interest in hearing from me. They took the dog from me, and when I tried to get the $300 worth of supplies back from the trainer, they sent me a text telling me I needed to leave her alone. My experience with this rescue was a sad reminder that there are mean-spirited people in this world.

What a great rescue! The fosters and volunteers truly care about each and every dog they rescue. The adoption process is rigorous but knowing that these dogs have all been failed at least once, I applaud them for trying their best to make sure they place each dog in the best possible home for that dog. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt!

Applications, Home visits, Reference checks are all done thoroughly and professionally! Many, many dogs have been saved from this organization. Every dog receives the absolute best care no matter what it is they need and all are in loving foster homes before being adopted. This rescue has saved so many dogs! They are known throughout the dog community for being one of the best rescues in Florida. Trinity Hansen the Co-Owner and leader in SWFL for the rescue works tirelessly every day to save dogs. I really do not understand how someone could leave a negative review. I am behind the scenes and see how the rescue operates. The rescue provides A1 service and makes sure each dog is placed into a safe home. The dogs are continuously checked on over time to make sure they are still safe. This rescue is really the perfect rescue!

I'm not quite sure what the previous 2 star review is talking about but I can rate my experience with BHBD rescue as amazing. They do a thorough home check and make sure the dog is the right fit for your family. I inquired about my dog on a Friday and got him on Monday. They also helped me after we got him and made suggestions on how he could best adjust to his new home. I adopted the most amazing, sweetest dog who happenes be be the best dog I've ever had in my life. Not to mention he was rescued by an amazing women from a high-kill shelter the day before his scheduled euthanasia. Btw, of course they ask for donations on their insta, how they heck else is a non-profit organization supposed to run?! Duh. If I were you "a google user" I would be more reserved in attempting to discredit an amazing organization you obviously have no knowledge about.
