Great experience with Dr Croskey, and the staff are wonderful. Recently rescued a 1 y/o Frenchie from GA. Paws Inn was highly recommended! I will be taking my almost 8 y/o Boxer there now as well!
We are co owners of some cats with another family member. My family member had been going to Paws Inn for years and always had a good experience. However, he's noticed changes recently in the staff and we had a horrible experience (see below) that caused us to pull the cats from their care and switch to Twin Maples where we have been much happier. One of our cats was sick and we took them in to be checked. Two family members went to the appointment and were in the room as the vet drew blood for blood work. The cat was very calm and the vet complimented how well he did. The blood work came back "normal" according to the vet. We noticed some things that were out of range on the bloodwork and the vet blew it off. They sent us meds and said it was likely nothing to worry about. A couple days later, our cat declined rapidly, and we took him into Medvet. They said unfortunately it was too late and he had to be put down. When we showed them the blood work from Paws Inn they said that the blood work was abnormal, and they should have then done more detailed blood work, especially given the symptoms. When we called Paws Inn about it they told us they couldn't do more blood work at the time we had brought him in, because our cat was "misbehaving during the blood draw and they couldn't get enough blood". Even though we were there and saw this was absolutely not true. We asked to speak to the vet and were told we would be charged a consultation fee to speak to them. When we told them the cat had to be put down they didn’t give us any sympathy, which shocked us. I don't know if our cat could have been saved had we gone somewhere else instead of Paws Inn, but I do know that they lied to us and didn't do what they could to try to diagnose the problem.
I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 only because they were so great for our puppy's first visit. We thought they were so great that we recommended my mother-in-law take her puppy (who was from our puppy's litter) for his first visit as well. He was scheduled for his first visit today that required a $30 deposit when the appointment was scheduled, which is understandable. Unfortunately last night he was in a car accident that I do want to point out my mother-in-law was NOT involved in, and he had to be put down due to the severe injuries. She called them this morning to let them know what happen and she was told that they already received the report. She asked about the $30 deposit and was told that it could only be credited in her account for when she needs it next time. Next time?! She just lost her 11 week old puppy, what makes you think she's going to have another pet any time soon if at all? I called Paws Inn after I heard about that and insisted she get her money back. After everything she went through last night, the least you could've done is give her her money back without having me call. I get the office can be busy and have a lot going on but that shouldn't keep you from showing sympathy to someone who lost such an adorable young puppy. After we got that taken care of, we canceled our puppy's next appointment and are going to find a different vet. We don't trust place that can be so insensitive to take care of our puppy.
My 10 month old kitten shoot was not acting right and he was drooling I can't my old vet but they couldn't see him for 6 weeks even though I been going to the vet for years with my older cats but shoot was adopted so they considered him a new patient.I knew i could wait called another vet that i knew of said 4 weeks .I was about in tears at this point .I then called paws inn that listen and told me to him right in . Once there they took a look and even throw the news is not great he will be ok even if the the road could be long . They caring and very good with my kitty .I can't thank Paws Inn enough. All my cats have a new vet.❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is our Nikki's (female doberman pinscher) home away from home. We don't have any worries about leaving her in their care for boarding. The staff is wonderful, front desk & in the kennel.
Dr Mendenhall and the staff at Paws Inn were so compassionate during our families loss. Rocco was our family pup, 13 wonderful years we had with him before his arthritis and age caught up to him. They made sure Rocco was comfortable and made sure our family had the support, privacy and assistance we needed during this very hard time. Thank you to everyone who gives their time and hearts to us and our fur babies, you’re so appreciated. 🐶💙🫶🏼
