My sweet girl will be celebrating her 10th birthday on 9/28/23 thanks to her being saved by puppy pals

Ignore the negative reviews. Really. They are just review busters. This place is terrific and caring. We adopted our sweet Zoey from them in 2010 (see photo). Sadly, she passed from cancer last month. But we are again turning to Linda and her caring staff and hopefully the right pup will find us again.

I was so impressed when I saw this company at the sauerkraut festival and loved that they foster amazing pups! I went to support them and buy $48 worth of Bandanas. The lady charged my DEBIT card $480! The bank said the charge went through when I called them but they claim they don’t show the charge on their end. I showed the lady my account and showed her where it was clearly taken out of my account. My bank said that I cannot start the dispute process until Tuesday because that is when everything will finally clear since it is a Saturday. The lady was very rude and acted like it was my fault and tried to take the phone from me when I was talking to the bank. She asked my friend if she left the Bandanas on the table and she said no they are in my bag because she paid for them. The lady then said give them back since you didn’t pay for them and the transaction is “pending”. Per my bank the transaction had gone through. She did not have any sympathy and acted like it was completely all my fault not hers when she is the one that typed the amount in and scanned my card. So, here I was trying to be a good citizen and support this local nonprofit and then I got treated like the “bad guy” when I did not do anything wrong. Now my card has been blocked and I have no access to any of my money since banks are not open on Sunday and it was already after the time the bank closed today.

I am so grateful that there are places like this. They rescued my dog's pregnant mama from a high kill shelter and gave her a foster home and now I have the best little chiweenie/mutt I could have ever hoped for. She brings so much joy to our family. I found the selection process to be long, but thorough, which is good to ensure the dogs get the proper forever home. They have a very detailed application too, but again this is for the dog's benefit. They did a home visit, which is no small task as I live out of state. Luckily one of their foster mom's had just moved within an hour of my home and was able to come and do the home visit. I wouldn't hesitate to adopt another small dog from Puppy Pals and hope they continue to rescue these furbabies for many years.

Adopted my absolutely terrific Cairn Terrier, Tink, through this rescue organization over four years ago. A few months later they helped me foster a dog I found wandering in my neighborhood, and were so supportive. That dog, too, found a loving home with their help. If you feel unsettled because they want to be careful in where they place the dogs in their charge, perhaps you should consider whether you yourself have a potential pet's best interests in mind. If you think buying from a puppy mill via a mall pet store is the better alternative, I strongly suggest you instead go to a nearby toy store and buy a stuffed animal. Folks, these people volunteer their time to benefit these little dogs - not to make you happy! They want to place these dogs; understand their caution and appreciate all the hours and hours of hard work they do rescuing animals while you and I do other things.

If you are looking for a rescue puppy in the ohio area don't go to these people Puppy Pals Rescue, Inc. - Dayton, Ohio they will waist ur time and if ur a person of color u may be accused of potential puppy theft while visiting in-store. Their selection process is completely arbitrary and their response to issues and enquiries is more than just less than satisfactory. It is completely ridiculous and very bias. Fyi The best home for any of their puppies is most likely going to always be with one of their friends or white counterparts from the area. I would never suggest them to anyone. And would rather buy a puppy because of them instead of continuing to look for one to adopt because I was that dissatisfied and emotionally drained from their service, their inconsistent process, and inability to resolve issues. I would rather by type of puppy I would like from a store, since they're the only one's that caters to small dogs in the area which is quite unfortunate.
