Description Gem City Vet is a nonprofit clinic created by Gem City Kitties to help Dayton, Ohio become a no-kill community. We are now offering low-cost wellness services and will expand to add spay/neuter services as we grow. We will be open most Sundays and offer the following wellness services: Exams, vaccines, preventatives for heartworm, fleas, and ticks, testing for heartworm and FeLV/FIV, microchips, and some diagnostic services. We also offer treatment and medication for common medical issues such as: ear infections, ear mites, and mange. The staff here are the kindest and most compassionate people! They will work very hard to address the needs of your fur babies and the staff here take care of them like they are their own family. Gem city is the provider I trust most with my babies’ care.

Updated: I have now been to this clinic with 4 other pets and had the same amazing experience each time. 🩷 This was my first trip to Gem City Vet with my kitten, Korok Seed. The staff was spectacular. They were ALL kind, patient, informative, empathetic, and friendly, even when faced with an impatient client they remained steadfastly cordial and sweet. The doctor and her tech/assistant were fantastic and fast and handled my kitten with care even as he acted like a brat. I will be referring all my grooming clients here who need routine and wellness care, and my other pets as well. The cost was so affordable and the facility is clean and comfortable. Thank you for what you do. Korok thanks you too even though he doesn't know it ;)

Awesome place. Kind people. Great vets. Dr. R & Dr. V. Update: Good experiences except for one. If you are a walk in and they take you at the very end near closing, be advised that your appointment may be rushed; ours was and the reason we came not addressed. Disappointing after previously good experiences. Spent 5+ hours there mostly waiting (That's ok, my choice) but then to feel like there was no time for my concern, that's not ok. If you choose to take a walk in, give them the time they deserve bc you certainly gave the same bill. Left heart broken.

I'm so grateful I found Gem City Vet, my dog was in distress, they examined her, even though we had to have her euthanized (she was 18 yrs old and in congestive heart failure)... For the exam, euthanize, mass burial, I was only charged $75... And the next week I received a sympathy card from Gem City Vet with Chi-Chi footprints, and a lock of her hair.... Everyone was so caring.... This is a great place.

A rather incredible place. Staff is amazing!!! And they work so well with different people and pets! These people always go above and beyond, and they even give out great resources. If you need vaccines or checkups for your pet this is definitely the place to come!!!
