SMACF is a great fundraising organization that makes all kinds of things possible at the Blount County Animal Center such as a wonderful full-time veterinarian. In speaking with them it is obvious they take their role of helping animals seriously. Highly recommended and should be a role model for all animal shelters.

SMACF, dedicated to the Blount County Animal Center, provides the funding that enables the shelter to provide high quality veterinary care for the stray and surrendered animals of Blount County. SMACF also funds the shelter's rescue transport program which helps maintain an adoption rate greater than 90% for cats and dogs. Wonderful organization!!!

Smoky Mountain Animal Care Foundation is a non-profit whose mission is to provide funding to the Blount County Animal Center for medical care over and above that which most municipal shelters are able to provide. SMACF also provides funding for the northern trransport program which has enabled this southern municiple shelter to rehome all healthy and behaviorally sound animals that come in its doors.

SMACF lives in the hearts of every individual who has attended and event, volunteered, donated or adopted an animal from BCAC.
