The staff is always very kind, caring and competent. I feel like I am getting the best possible care for my pet, but also that they listen to me and understand any constraints ($$) I might have. Have been with them for years, including through a staff turnover (because of retirements) and still the same great care for my pets.

Excellent veterinary center with excellent service and staff all around. The online appointment system works very well and both reception and the veterinarians themselves are very attentive and helpful over the phone. There is a wait for appointments sometimes but staff will work with you on getting a sooner appointment if you really need it. Stratford Hills is very communicative and helpful in all situations. The only reason this is not a five star review is because of the pricing. While the staff don’t have a problem discussing finances (which is great!) you do need to make sure that you as the customer ask, especially because the pricing here is the most outrageous pricing of any vet I’ve been to or heard of in the Richmond area. Stratford Hills is absolutely fantastic but the pricing genuinely does need to be lowered on a lot of their services.

Wonderful people who really care about your pets (and you). Highly recommend. Prices are more or less the going rate, or, if anything, a little less than many other vets. They will always offer you options/advice, but also understand if you decide not to get the service for your pet. They are also very good about letting know about approximate costs in advance.

We’ve been going here for about 8-9 years. We’ve seen a transformation over the past few that we are impressed with. They understand sense of urgency when you call and have treated our dogs and pups with a great deal of compassion. It is a bit of a drive for us but we are happy here. I wish they had 24-hour emergency services for current clients. There’s a bit lack of options here in Richmond. Overall, we recommend SHVC.

I HIGHLY recommend Stratford Hills Veterinary Center. I have been taking my dogs to them for over 20 years. There was a time period of several years that I was actively trying to find a different practice as I was very unhappy with them at that time. However, under the new leadership the past few years it has completely transformed the practice. My dog had an experience there 12 years ago that traumatized her to the point that she needed to be muzzled and drugged before she could go there for a visit. With this new and highly improved practice I do not do any of those things. She goes in and gets treated and all is well. Dr. Hermanson and Dr. Tucker are miracle workers and I will NEVER take my animals anywhere else. Love this practice!!
