Description Our philosophy begins with the idea that any Labrador we breed should be one that our family would want to own. We focus on temperament and socialization in our litters-striving to produce the perfect family companion. Our litters are purebred chocolate, black, fox red and yellow Lab puppies that come from AKC registered Labradors. It is my belief that a puppy raised in a stimulating environment with close contact with humans and other animals creates a well adjusted, happy, and trainable dog. The Labs are raised alongside our family on 3 acres in Olympia, Washington. Each puppy goes to their new home with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, 4 deworming's, first vaccines, microchip, information packet and adoption bag.
If anyone is looking for a Labrador breeder I would highly recommend Johnson Point. They have been great since day 1 when my boyfriend sent in the application and deposit. When we were notified that we were getting off the waitlist Johnson Point sent us weekly email updates on the puppy and lot of information about training for the puppy, foods to avoid feeding them, crate training etc. On the day we picked up Winston (Stocking) Johnson point provided us with a gracious goodie bag for him filled with toys, pee pee pad, extra joint supplement toothbrush, toothpaste, and brush. We are overall very pleased with the whole process and have already recommended a friend to Johnson Point who is interested in a Labrador puppy. If you’re looking for a thorough breeder who is communicative I recommend Johnson Point.
Johnson Point Labradors is a good breeder. Once they confirmed we have the puppy, they sent emails to us every 2 weeks to update the puppies status and attached information for us to prepare before the puppy comes home. They provide excellent service, making sure the puppy is microchiped and helping you make sure it is registered properly. All of the information they provide really makes a big difference when you are preparing for the arrival of your new puppy!
Hi, all, Choosing JPL for location convenience was our initial concern, because JPL is in Olympia Washington, and I’m about 2 hours away. As I researched into their website, the spirit of keeping a legacy (to breed dogs that all people would want to have) from their late daughter truly touched me. However, I’m still a believer of “a good story from a good breeder needs to be backed up with a strong value and quality consistency”. So I am going to base my review on the past 3.5 months experience with my new girl, NaiA, after the adoption. Firstly, Labrador stands for loving, gentle, loyal, smart, even-tampered, non-aggressive, & trainability. NaiA (litter name Neon) has all that. #Labradors_typical_dognalities. She’s very calm. However, she has something that, as a family, we treasure a lot: she’s very observant and has an independent mind. She will always observe prior to making any moves, and this, makes training her way easier than the hyper or quick response type of breeds. #Omega_type. #Labrador_Trainability. We already have a 1.5 year old Boston Terrier at home before NaiA, and NaiA’s calmness had made the “new comer” situation a lot easier than we expected. #calmness #minimal_jealousy_issues. Given that we are a very experienced dog lover family, we knew what to expect and how to deal with developing behaviors without scaring puppers, hence, NaiA is almost a “one teach” and instant acquired around the household. Biting on hazmats was never much to worry about. She gets sad though! Then a sincere hug with soft talk + a treat reward can usually take away her sadness. #Quick_learner #not_grudging. Grooming was not hard. Our little Bostonian doesn’t care for showers or nail trimmings. By observing her little “big” sister’s response towards grooming, we are so surprised that NaiA didn’t copy and paste. From 3rd bath on, NaiA would run to the bathtub when called upon. She’d sit in the tub calmly until I’m done. However, she didn’t like the blow dryer too much. She just hid her nose in my arm, that’s all. Nails, paw hair trimmings, a peanut butter patch on the glass door does wonders. She simply trusted us. #easy_grooming #trusting_dognality. She can be agile or calm whatever the situation requires, I’d say that’s darn amazing for a 5 months old! Her digestive system is another topic worth praising. She ate something wrong in the garden once, probably an earthworm or slugger she saw for the 1st time in her life. It gave her a very bad diarrhea for a couple of days, other than that, her poop pattern and poop quality was never difficult to predict or deal with. #healthy_digestive_system. At 5 months, she just finished changing her teeth, all her baby coat are pretty much gone. She’s growing up at a fast but healthy pace, and the vet commented that, “NaiA is probably one of the best trained puppy I’ve seen in years”. The doctor is in her mid-30’s. Which says it all. Here you have it, my gratitude towards JPL for breeding such wonderful chocolate labs, and for us to be able to find JPL and adopt from them. Thanks JPL. I’ve attached some photos of my girls’ daily. Hope this helps.
The military moved me to Washington state about a year ago and before I even moved here I was searching for Labrador breeders! My family has always had labs and I knew when I was on my own I wanted one too! I saw Johnson Point had raving reviews about their puppies and I knew this was the place! They kept me informed and educated about the whole process! My fiancé and I just picked up our precious baby Stevie about a week ago from Culper and Mavericks Christmas litter!! She is the sweetest soul and I now cannot imagine my life without her!!
We couldn't imagine a more caring, doting family or more loved animals than you'll find at Johnson Point Labradors! They provided updates and resources from the moment the litter was born until the day we picked up Jasper. We were ready for the journey ahead and are so thrilled with our new family member.
We recently brought home a chocolate male, Cosmo, from storm x copper Nov 2023 litter. I had reached out to JPL a month after we put down Rider, our 13.5 year old black lab. We got Rider as a rescue when she was 2, and we didn’t learn until later in her life that she was full American lab. We knew that we couldn’t see ourselves with any other breed, but at the same time, we were skeptical of going the breeder route because that was very new to us. After reaching out, we were welcomed for a visit to see the kennels and meet the dogs. Cindy and her husband spent about an hour with us showing us around, talking about labs, and sharing their story. The kennels were clean and very well kept- it was obvious that they reallly care about their dogs and what they are doing. We didn’t feel any pressure at all but we left putting down a deposit, we knew we wanted one of Storm’s pups. Throughout the whole process JPL responded to all my questions and emails promptly. They also provided a great deal of info leading up to bringing our pup home. Although we are not first time lab owners, we are first time puppy owners and found all the info very helpful. We loved waiting for the pic and video updates. We have now had Cosmo home for 2 weeks. Everyone he has met has been impressed with how calm he is. He learned his name, come, sit, lay down, shake, fetch, and stay all within the first week. We are so in love with our little dude and can’t wait for all the adventures to come. 10/10 recommend JPL.
