Great service and employees that really care! I called and got a response to my home in 15 minutes. They rescued a mom and three newborn kittens stuck on my rooftop today. The officer gently coaxed the scared mom and everything was a success! We will definitely donate based on what we experienced today. Great job!

Lost my dog. Said they would help, set a trap, said they were on there way to meet me 3x, NEVER SHOWED. Went to the office, short stocky bald guy told me they don’t have the resources to help me. Took my pups information because I insisted. As I’m walking out it occurred to me he never asked my name or phone number. This is the job they get paid to do. Useless. The next day after they failed to meet me to set a trap my dog was hit by a car.AGAIN, they have failed. A emaciated dog with bleeding ears that wondered on our property, and I was told to find a home or keep him. They are not picking up any strays because the pens are full. Question, are you driving past needy dogs ?

Picked up a stray dog after seeing him twice , then I went looking for him. Tags were ripped out of his ears, still bleeding and extremely malnourished. So, who do you call, animal control. It was a Saturday. BUT NO, they can’t take him because they are full. Question, are you just driving by and not picking up lost dogs now ? Leaving them on the streets to post get hit by a car, or die ? Just wandering.

The officers misled me. I responded to a honeless doggie pic on Facebook web posted by GPD. I was told the dog would be sent to Humane Society, so I completed a detailed personal application for such doggie. Humane Society told me that my application was excellent and accepted, but when they went to match me with the dog, GPD had already sent the dog to Tarboro SPCA and it was adopted out from under me. I called Officer White almost daily duringbthis process,, including the day the dog was sent out and was misguided each time on the adoption process. I followed his useless instructions. I support the kind treatment and provision of good homes for lost animals. However when I responded to GPD to do such I was either lied to or totally misguided. I will not reach out to them again because my anticipation of adding a loving pet to my home has turned into disappointment and mistrust of the GPD procedures. They told me one thing and did another! And these people are paid by our taxes and have positions of authority. Do not get your heart set on a new pet based on what they tell you.

Called them on a Monday to come pick up a stray dog that came to us, on Friday, knowing they were closed we kept him until Monday. The poor baby had mites and tics. I was concerned with putting him in my car, as I have three pups. NEVER CALLED NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. They are a huge disappointment , not the first time.

I have been stopped for playing catch with my dog multiple times around the city of Greenville, they always say “my dog needs to be on a leash”. How can you play fetch with your dog on a leash? The areas I am in are not occupied by people and it seems that these people that work the Animal “Police” really don’t have much to do other than stop normal people doing normal things. If I could give a zero I would. Waste of tax payer money if you ask me, if normal Police Officers don’t say anything about playing fetch with my dog than why should these people?
