This is a hard review to write, given the nature of my visit. But I cannot say more positive things about this facility. I brought in my guinea pig who was struggling to breathe. Every staff member was unbelievably patient, professional, and caring. They gave me as much time as I needed and helped me make one of the hardest decisions. Ultimately, my baby girl needed help crossing over and they were so compassionate and sympathetic. Thank you for your care today.

We moved to this area almost three years ago. We had an amazing vet who we continue to love. Finding a substitute here would not be easy! But we did. We have parrots and dogs (and have since acquired a Guinea Pig). Dr. Dawkins, Dr. Julien, and Dr. Cassidy are wonderful vets who definitely give pet parents the time to have their questions answered and show tremendous care to our four legged and feathered family members. I feel lucky to have found them and appreciate their compassion, knowledge, and support. Unfortunately, (no pet parent wants an emergency) we have had to utilize their emergency services, which have also exceeded our expectations.

My baby (black lab)was really sick. I got an appointment scheduled in the middle of the night online for only a few hrs later. They took such good care of him with xrays, meds, and follow-up emails to check on him. We have a follow-up in person soon and I know he'll have the same excellent care then too.

We had an emergency with our dog who was not eating. When we arrived at windcrest, we met with Dr. Dawkins who did panels and an xray. He was absolutely amazing! He described every result of every test to make sure we knew what was going on. Any piece of information he had, he made sure to relay to us. What a fantastic vet! Unfortunately, the doctor we scheduled his ultrasound with, Dr. Namey, not so much. She seemed annoyed from the start, was not personable with me or my dog, in any way, and it was like pulling teeth to get any information out of her. The whole time she kept stepping towards the door as if she had more important things to do than discuss my dog's healthcare. For over $500 dollars just for the ultrasound itself, I would like to speak to the doctor for more than 2 minutes without an attitude from her. I left with more questions than answers and the only reason I got any answers is because I had to keep dragging information out of her as she tried to leave. I have never had a vet experience like this in all my years of having pets. If you go here, AVOID Dr Namey!! Dr. Dawkins was awesome!

The new automated phone answering system has dropped quality of service substantially. Wait times are excessive. It is not because of staff. I suspect staff were downsized or people who resigned or retired were not replaced as a result of the automated system and that’s why wait times are awful. On the morning of Monday Feb 12, I wasted 11 minutes on hold, only to be directed to voicemail. The last voicemail I left must have been missed. Staff promptly answered the phone prior to the automated voicemail system. Vet tech Kim is the best, as is Frank in Customer Service. We have spent a great deal of money throughout the 20 or so years with Windcrest. It feels as if clients are not valued anymore. If not for Dr. Anthony’s ability to calm and handle my temperamental parrot, I would find a different practice.

Brought my pup in for an emergency a few weeks ago. She needed stitches for a bad laceration on her leg. Then back a week later when my wildchild got it infected and ripped a stitch. Windcrest staff were amazing through everything. Was it expensive? Yes, but any vet emergency care would be. They gave me a best case and worst case scenario price wise. Offered me an option to try and save a little by coming in a little later for an urgent care appointment. I stayed with the emergency visit and the price was still less than initially quoted. Staff was very nice and explained everything to me. They did everything to make sure my scared pup was as comfortable as possible.
