House with a Heart is a one-of-a-kind organization. I have boarded my dog there since it first opened. She--the founder--lives with the "permanent guests" in her home. The boarding facilities are also in the house--although in the walk-out basement. Over the years, I have seen the kindness and care that House with a Heart gives to it's shelter dogs as well as it boarder dogs. Whenever one of my friends loses a pet, I donate to House with a Heart in memory of the pet. The grieving owner gets a wonderful package acknowledging the donation. I have received wonderful feedback from folks who received the package. All in all, Sher and her crew of dedicated volunteers are the best thing that can happen to any animal! I can't think of a better animal organization to support or place to board your animals.
