This was my cat Rogue that I surrendered last year to this place. When you surrender, they tell you after your cat has been adopted that they’ll send you pictures about 2 weeks after they’ve settled in…. Due to unfortunate events, I had to give up my Rogue and was doing as much research as I can so I didn’t send him to a kill shelter. Because of this place’s dishonesty about the pictures, I have been worried sick about my cat’s whereabouts as I’ve never been sent pictures from this mystery person that adopted my cat. They were supposed to send them. I’ve called and called and a couple times they never even picked up (despite being told that those were the times they would.) i honestly thought my number was blocked. Last time I spoke to them, they told me that they don’t handle the picture and only the adoption team does. It’s been a little over a year and I still get overly upset when I think about my cat and what could have happened to him. It’s to the point where I feel convinced that I gave my cat up to a kill shelter in disguise. …. I don’t know if my cat actually got adopted and there is no proof that they’ve sent me that he was and was in great care like they claimed. If you happened to be the one that adopted my cat Rogue and happen to see this review, please contact me. I’m begging you. I need to know how my little void is doing, I can’t live with myself not knowing what happened.

I adopted the sweetest cat from the lovely folks at the Animal Welfare League. The volunteers and staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming and made the process simple and easy to follow. It was obvious to me the cats were loved and well cared for. I was able to get a lot of great information involving the cat's prior care and needs, and I would also say the folks at the Animal Welfare League did an excellent job in accurately describing the cat on the website prior to adoption. If you're thinking of adopting a cat, I couldn't recommend these folks enough!

A truly wonderful place, they care about cats and it shows. These are our babies we adopted from them.

AWLMC is an all volunteer no kill cat shelter, supported entirely by donations and adoption fees. Come visit our comfortable, home like shelter.

Great set up for the cats...open rooms, huge 2 story multi-"room" kennels for when needed, windows for entertainment. And the staff is equally impressive. New pics of latest additions to our family below.

The shelter's owner is not attentive to details and seems to deliberately ask potential adopters provocative questions in order to prevent them from adopting a cat. I submitted an application for adoption for a cat with a precise indication of specific characteristics, and my application was approved. Five days later, when I asked them to give me the cat a few days earlier, my adoption application was denied with the explanation that this facility DOES NOT give away cats with these specific characteristics. I lost almost a whole week because of the lack of attention to detail by animal shelter owners. I hope these people are not as careless with their cats as they are not paying attention to the details of the application of potential adopters.
